As the Ophiotaurus(Bessie) hadn't been killed, it now swims in a pool, crafted by Hephaestus and Poseidon.

The Ophiotaurus(sp?) swam happily in the pool and came up to Poseidon and mooed happily. Laughing, Poseidon reached his hand out and petted the sea cow. Questions that questioned his marrige with his beautiful sea nymph filled his head as he tried to relax. 'Hera is probably enjoying all of this, he thought in disgust. His sister always loved drama like this. 'Does Amphitrite really care about our marrige? Does she actually love me? Why should I trust her now? he thought getting angrier and angrier.
Before he had time to get out his trident to create earthquakes, an iris message appeared from his son Triton who was back at the palace. "Yes Triton? What has Nereus said?"he demanded from his son. "Grandfather said that the mortals got it under control. They're new attempt to stop the oil from spreading more is working. All that's left is to let them clean up. He did say that it may speed up the process if you make a hurricane and let it go over the gulf, but doesn't suggest you do that. "Don't be scared Bessie. It's just some family issues that isn't pleasant,"he said to the sea cow trying to calm down. The last thing he wanted was the sea cow to have a fit with him in the same waters. Poseidon never could get over with the name his son, Percy, gave one of the most dangerous sea creatures out there. ' I'm surprised my youngest brother hadn't zapped him into barbecue yet,' he thought knowing how much Zeus hated the cow that he was petting. After Bessie had calmed down, Poseidon had to think about what his Father-in-law said. Being the king of the sea isn't the easiest thing to do. After a couple of minutes of thinking what to do and going over what Nererus said, he whipped up a tropical depression in the gulf. He would give the mortals a couple of days to clean up their horrible mess or they will be punished. Looking at the Ophiotaurus swim around in the pool, Poseidon remembered his beautiful sister of harvest, Demeter. He wondered what he thought she of him after all this years. He wasn't as mad at her like he used to.
