It's another day for Red as he travels across the ocean on the back of his beloved Lapras. With his partner, Pikachu by his side, Red is feeling quite confident about his challenge at the Cainwood Gym, just across the waters. "I can't wait Pikachu, than we can help that poor Ampharos back at the Olivine Lighthouse." "Pika!!!" ^w^ Pikachu exclaimed as he wagged his tail. It was getting dark so Red, a little tired, looked at his Town Map and Surfed for the Whirl Islands, where he would stay for the night. Legend has it that a Legendary Poke'mon lives under the islands. But when he gets there, he meets a girl wearing a blue bandana, (MaryiaMaple) Looking for that exact thing... the Legendary Poke'mon.

Maria: *standing at the docks watching the sunset. it has been awhile since she has seen Lugia* 8she has changed her outfit form leg warmers, skirt, tank, and hat for a blue bandana, blue tank, dark red and black shorts, white n dark red shoes, white with blue cap sleeves, a necklace, and a blue backpack.* *she also changed her hair style too into pig tails that is in a V shape.* *beside her was her pokemon Night, an Eevee, and a Cyndi, a Quilava.*

"Ahhhh.. Finally some where to sit!" Red held his back slightly as he called his Lapras into it's Poke'ball, "Lapras, return!" Lapras was zapped back into the ball as Red and his Pikachu, walked toward a cave when he noticed a girl, not too far from the island.. "Hey!!" he shouted, but no answer... He started toward her with curiousity, wondering why she was on the island in the first place.

Dakota was riding to Johto from his hometown of Cinnibar Island on his beloved Pidgeot, Skye. "We're almost thee buddy" Dakota said to Skye. "Pige Pigeot!" He replied.

Red finally got up to her, breathing heavily from the long run and Pikachu was close behind. "Excuse.. -pant- me.. -pant- miss.. But what are you doing on the island?" He found it odd that a girl, out of nowhere, would be on this island. He was only here to rest for the night then was gonna head down to Cainwood.

"I bet we're gonna beat all 8 gym leaders here, don't ya think?" Dakota then saw a big land mass. "It's Johto! We made it!" He took out his Poke'gear and accessed the map of the Johto reigon. "Professor Oak told us to go to Dr. Elm's lab in New Bark Town to get our new Poke'dex. Alright, dive!" Skye dove down through the air to a lower altitude.

Elm: I wonder where that Trainer that Prof. Oak told me about is...
Assistant: Professor! Something just came up!
Elm: What is it? Tell me.
Assistant: Well, something strange is going on at the Whirl Islands. A big storm, out of nowhere, came up in that area.The town of Cianwood cannot contact us nor can we contact it. The storms that fierce...
Elm: What? But I sent a Trainer there to...
Assistant: It's too late. Poke'gear won't work in these conditions..
Elm: Hmmm... I hope she's alright...

Skye finally got close to the ground and landed right in front of Prof. Elm's lab. "Skye, return!" Dakota said as Skye flashed into the poke'ball. "Im here!" Dakota said as he entered the building. "Hey! Proffesor? Where are you?"

Prof Elm: Ah, finally. Dakota is it? Welcome to New Bark Town and welcome to Johto overall! Prof. Oak told me about you. -goes to the lab counter and picks up a device- This is the latest version of the Poke'dex, It'll come in handy.
Radio~" The storms and whirlpools are getting worse near the Whirl Islands. All people were told to evacuate the area but there seems to be a person on the island, wearing a red hat.
Some of the locals say that the Legendary Poke'mon under the ocean is angry. It is said to look like a giant silver-colored bird. If you have any info on this Poke'mon, please call....ZHHHHHHHHHHH~~"
Elm: Dang. The Radio Tower must be down because of the storm... Dakota! I'll make a deal with you. I have an assistant on that island currently. I'll give one of three Johto starter Poke'mon right now if you can Fly to what we call the Whirl Islands, and at least check if she's ok... Her name is Maria. The Poke'gear won't work, so I can't call her. So..?
Whaddya say?
I have three Poke'mon here: Chikorita, the Grass Poke'mon. Cyndiquil, the Fire Poke'mon and Totodile, the Water Poke'mon... Which one will you choose?

Dakota thought for a second. "O.k., I'll help." He then walked over to the poke'balls. "Normally being from Cinnibar, I like to have one fire type on my team, also for battling with a wide spread of pokemon, but I think for this occasion I'll choose... Chikorita!" Dakota released Chikorita form the pokeball and knealt down to greet it. "Hey there, you're pretty cool!" The Chikorita, who unluckily was a sassy natured female Chikorita, gave Dakota a facefull of leaf knocking him to the ground. "Ow... What'd I say?"

Elm: Ha! Well it's energetic to say the least! ... I'm sorry to rush you out of here, but I need you need you to go right away. Her name is Maria... and that red-hat fellow.. I have no idea. Just go find Maria and tell her to come back to New Bark Town.
~Meanwhile under Whirl Islands~
"...." It's silent. A wet dripping cave scene is pictured. "What are these humans doing on my islands..." A giant figure is shown, sleeping on the ocean floor... "What... a disturbance on my islands? It isnt the humans..." "Hahaha..." The figure looked up, glaring at another, smaller, but equally imtimidating figure with a long tail and stood on two legs. It wore a long coat, but did not look human. "Lugia..." "Who are you?!" Lugia, the massive Bird Poke'mon rose from it's watery chamber and appeared in front of the figure. "Why... a fellow Poke'mon..." The figure then moved it's hand and closed it's fingers. Lugia was all of a sudden lifted into the air, unwillingly, and was overwhelmed with mental takeover. "You are mine now..." The figure smirked as Lugia lost conciousness...
