Hito smirked. This was the battle he had been waiting for since he started his adventure, his first gym battle. He gazed across the room and say that Brock had sent out a Geodude, he thought for a quick second and decided on a strategy.
"Let's go Chase!" He called out summoning his Charmander to the field. "Start off with Smokescreen!" He called out to his Pokemon. The Charmander scoffed before exhaling a large cloud of dark smoke towards the enemy Geodude.

Brock looked around before deciding on a course of action. "Geodude, stand your ground, keep alert, and use defense curl." Brock called to is pokemon, while remaining as calm as he was the moment the match started.
Geodude hardened with defense curl as it looked around and waited for charmander's next move.

"Hide in the smoke Chase, and attack from a distance!"
Hito knew that as a rock Pokemon, Geodude's defense was formidable, however it was no problem for Charmander's Ember attack, which was effected by an opponent's special defense.
Suddenly Charmander let out an Ember attack, multiple small fire balls came out and shot towards Geodude. "Keep moving! Don't let up!"

"Geodude, dodge, dont get hit!"
Geodude managed to dodge 2 fire balls, but it got hit by the next two. Geodude fell hard to the ground, weak from the attack.
"Geodude, use defense curl!" Brock called out.
Geodude did a it was asked and hardened itself.

"More Smokescreen! The keep attacking with Ember!" Hito called out after seeing the smoke clear up a bit. He knew that after a while his Charmander would soon get tired, so he needed to attack hard and defeat Geodude before that happened. The Charmander, while in the cover of his first smokescreen let out another one, adding onto the fray. However this time, it covered the entire arena, and the Charmander wasn't sure where to attack.

"Come back Geodude." Brock returned the pokemon to it's pokeball. "You may have beaten Geodude, but you wont beat Onix. Go Onix!" Brock threw a pokball and a giant rock monster emmerged wit a loud rawr.

As the giant snake-like creature emerged from Brock's pokeball, Hito's Charmander started to back up, his face showing his shock. It wasn't that he was afraid, but he had figured that he would now be fighting this Pokemon after near exhaustion from the last fight. Hito could tell from just looking at the Charmander, but that was alright, all the Charmander had to do was defeat the first Pokemon and Hito's other partner can just take care of the rest. Hito had heard that the gym leader, Brock only used two Pokemon in battle. "Good job, Chase! Return!" The small fire Pokemon returned to his pokeball, as Hito pulled out another one. "Let's go Bruce!" He called sending out his Bulbasaur.

"A grass type huh? Even against these odds I won't lose. I hope your ready, Onix, use Bind!"
The rock snake made its way to Bulbasaur and grabbed on tight.

Hito's Bulbasaur was easily caught in the Onix's large lumbering body, however this wasn't such a bad thing. "Good! Now use leech seed now that its close!" Hito called out to his Pokemon. He knew that Leech Seed was an attack that slowly drained HP from an opponent and healed the user at the same time. It was only a matter of time before Brock would notice a big difference in strength. Bulbasaur took a bit of damage from the Bind attack.

Over the course of the next few minutes Onix grew weaker.
"Looks like I'll have to finish things fast..Onix, throw Bulbasaur into the air and use Rock Tomb!"
Onix lifted the Bulbasaur then hurled him toward the ceiling. shortly after bulbasaur was thrown in the air, rocks fell, falling towards the bulbasaurs back.

"Vine Whip, Bruce!" He called out to his Pokemon as it reached towards the ceiling. "Think Monkey!" The Bulbasaur instantly knew what Hito meant and let out two long long vines pop out of his back. One of the vines attached itself to a metal bar on the ceiling while the the other gripped onto the nearest rock that was flying towards him, he then whipped it around like a pendulum knocking down most of the rocks that were flying towards it. About three large rocks managed to hit the Bulbasaur, and although they weren't very affective against his type advantage, they surprisingly still caused heavy damage. Hito started to think once more, although it would be safer to wait it out and slowly drain Onix of his HP, Hito figured it would be easier to risk it all and end it all now! "Bruce! Vine Whip attack, now!" His Bulbasuar released his vines from the objects he was holding and started to fall down towards the enemy Onix. He used the momentum to unleash a powerful Vine Whip attack straight down at it with both of his vines.
