I started reading it when I was about nine I think (it would have been younger, but I went to a Christian school where they insisted that the book was evil, and after I started reading it they swore I was evil twisted xp ) and I think my favorite was Book 3, The Prisoner of Azkaban. It was the only year someone wasn't trying to directly kill Harry and it introduced hippogriffs!

My little brother started reading it long before me. I was never really interested in reading it before, but one day (about 6 years ago I think) I was bored as hell, and there was absolutely NOTHING on tv, except the first Harry Potter movie. So I watched it and it wasn't bad, so I thought that since I had nothing better to read at the time I would try reading the book. My brother had the first four books (OotP had just come out), so I read right through them, and then I had to buy book 5! ^_^ Heh, I quickly learned that the movies were nothing compared to the books, and to hate movies 4 and 5 (6 wasn't nearly as bad as them). I went to see the midnight showings of movies 4-5. Order of the Phoenix was my favorite book though, and when I saw the movie I got so mad at how much important stuff they left out that I cried...lol

Hands down #6! I love it because of the memories and the ending battle. Plus Snape is like...awsome in that one. I snuck them past my overly strict parents starting in middle school. They ended my senior year of high school.

I actually hated the series until about two years and a half years ago. Then I saw Tom Felton on... something or another and I said "who is that lovely person."
I ended up asking a friend about it and they gave me a brief explanation of Draco and who he was to Harry and I immediately jumped on the slash potential. I spent about four months reading Drarry fanfiction before I finally saw the first movie. It took another week before I borrowed the first book from my friend.
My favorite book has to be either 4 or 6. I love the ones where I felt like I got to see a good amount of Snape. (LuciusSnape fan.)

Wow! I can never read fanfiction until I've read the book/manga or seen the TV show/movie for it. I didn't get into H/D until a friend at summer camp showed it to me through a fanfiction called "Irrisistable Poison."

I dont really know when i started reading HP books... My favorite book is the first for the simplest reason that it made me fall in love with the serie and I immediately loved Draco and Harry. Later I found the amazing world of fanfiction (i was reading PoA) and I became addicted to Drarry and Snarry. (I became a hardcore pervert... sweatdrop ) I don't like the 4th book and movie... CEDRIC! NOOOOO!!! crying
