 "Midnight revolts violently to almost everyone except for Trace. Be warned... Enter here without him, and you risk loss of limb or life." This sign hangs on the door, and inside lays a seemingly harmless dragon.

Trace walked in, dragging Joslyn behind him. He stopped in the doorway, and looked at her. "Wait here," he cautioned, pointing to the sign. He walked in, and a half second later, he was tackled out the door by a dragon, slightly larger than a horse. It was solid black, and smooth, with seemingly no scales. It's eyes were solid red, all the way, and it might have been intimidating, if it weren't for the peaceful, innocent, almost fun aura coming off of it.

Joslyn let out a terrified gasp when Trace came back out. "Holy crap."

He chuckled, pushing the dragon off of his chest, who was currently trying to lick his face off, not unlike a dog. "She's just affectionate," he assured Joslyn, grinning. "Isn't that right, lovely? Aren't you a good girl, Midnight?" the dragon stood up at its name, and nodded. He laughed. "And smart, too."

She nodded, slightly nervous. She watched as Trace played with his pet dragon. "Ah. Nothing like a man and his best dragon."

Trace stood up, and grinned. "Oh, right! Intro. Joslyn, this is Midnight. Midnight, this is Joslyn." He laughed, then noticed Joslyn's nervous hesitation. "Well, go on! Pet her!" he said, chuckling. "It's okay, Midnight. Joslyn is a friend," he assured the dragon, petting it.

She smiled nervously. "Alright..." She walked slowly over to the dragon, and lightly pet it's muzzle. She chuckled. "Nice dragon."

At first, the dragon just stared coldly at Joslyn, unresponsive. After a few seconds, Joslyn felt a tingle on the back of her neck, like the feeling of someone watching her. After that, Midnight made a happy purring noise, and rubbed against Joslyn's hand and arm.

She smiled. "That's a good girl." She said, as she contined petting the dragon.

Trace grinned. "Told you she was awesome." He chuckled.

"She really is beautiful." She said, gaping at the beautiful ebony skin that was Midnight.

Joslyn looked at him, smiled, then turned to look back at the dragon. "It's alright girl." She laughed.

Midnight shook her head a bit, pulling back and yawning. Trace chuckled. "Tired already? What, did you fly all the way to the city and eat a cat, or something?" he shook his head.

She pulled her hand back, and stood beside Trace. "Maybe we should let her sleep. She's probably pretty tired."
