Welcome to the Ministry of Magics Education training Program. Here is where we train witches and wizards to be either teachers, or administrators. It is a rigorous road, and we therefore don't take slackers. We are not afraid to fail students, we want only the best for our schools, so don't think that you can just slide by. This may have worked in your previous schools, but welcome to the advanced, fast paced world.

 ~Emily A. Wixom~
Emily took a deep breath to steady herself before opening the door to classroom, and taking a seat in the front row. This was the first time she'd been a student in 2 years, and this was a very rigorous, and strict school. To top it all off she was entering an 8 year program, and would be flying by it in just over 1 year. The norm for administrators was to first go through the 4 year teaching program, teach for 2 years, and then go through the 2 year administrator program. Well Emily had skipped the entire teaching program, she'd taught for two years, one of which she had been an administrator for. All of this had been without training, and now she was going to go through a brutal 2 months before going back to being Deputy Headmistress, Charms Professor, and Head of Ravenclaw House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She would continue with her rigorous training here, do next summer as well, and then finally take over as full out Headmistress by the time she was 21. She was terrified that the other students in the class would hate her for this. Atticus Travis certainly did. It wasn't even like it was her fault.

The thing that Atticus disapproved about summer was the fact that instead of spending this time relaxing and having fun as a twenty year old, he was stuck in a mandatory summer class in a classroom that was scorching hot and had a teacher that did not understand the meaning of air conditioning. But Atticus was not about to complain. He was already so close to his goal of being a Charms teacher. And he was not letting that slip through his fingers just because the heat of the summer was getting to him. Silently, he jotted down everything that was being said during the lecture. It had gone on for a couple hours now and he could practically feel the restlessness of the other students in the classroom. Not to mention knobs and bolts in their brain trying to remember everything that had been said. This was how Atticus divided the class. The ones that did their hardest to remember everything that was said in the lecture were the ones that were possibly not going to make it. The ones, like himself, that jotted down easy notes were the ones that could possibly succeed. Because if the ones that stressed themselves out had read the book before the class started summer term, they would realize that the stuff being said in this on going lecture was actually just review from last term and also a lot of irrelevant fillers on the subject of teaching Charms.
But Atticus was ahead of everyone else. He knew the material and he knew what it took to teach the class. And this year, he was going to put that to the test. This year, he wasn't going to watch as some softy red head taught a class he so rightfully deserves. Did he like that he his boss was the same age as he was and also someone that didn't even take the classes to get her credentials? Hell no. But he had learned over the past year to get used to her to the point of almost ignoring her ways.
As he was writing his last sentence, the lecture had ended and the class was free to leave for the break. He had two more classes for the day. Both of them just as long as this two hour lecture class. Collecting his things into his messenger bag, Atticus shouldered his bookbag and made for the door. Ignoring the whispers around him about how boring the class was. Running a hand through his hair, Atticus made his way to a little cafeteria at the end of the hallway where he noticed that there were already people there. Letting out a sigh, he made his way to a table at the far end of the room and pulled out his textbook. He knew that he would be getting home late, most probably six or seven in the evening. He was going to take the opportunity to get as much work done as possible so that he would not be stressing out at home.

 ~Emily A. Wixom~
Emily was jolted a wake when her Professor slammed his book on her desk. "Miss Wixom, if you are so exhausted you can't stay awake, then get out of my class because this is obviously too tough for you. I don't care how 'advanced' you are, we are professionals in this class, and sleeping through the lectures is not professional behavior." Emily nodded quickly as she responded "Yes sir." And pulled her notebook towards her again. She couldn't believe she had dozed off like that. She'd been fighting it, and obviously she had finally failed. This was a 3 hour class that was held ever Monday-Friday, and Emily was convinced she was going to die. The heat was baking her, she wasn't good at sitting still, and the professor was mono-tone. This was the second week of classes, and though she was understanding the material and catching on quickly, she was quickly pissing off all of her instructors. Why was she here anyways? She was only 20 years old for heavens sakes, she should be out enjoying the sunshine, goofing off with friends, have a wild time at parties, even having a few wild flings with some guys she met. But no, Emily had to be the responsible one and not only not do the normal 20 year old stuff, but sit in 2 three hour lectures every day with professors and students that didn't even like her because she couldn't sit still, and she was skipping most of the training.
Emily was held after class and given an extra 5 foot essay for falling asleep, and disrupting the class. She nodded quietly and left the classroom, glad to be out of the stuffy room. She looked out the window and saw the sun shining and sighed. What was she thinking anyways? She walked over to a small cafeteria. Seeing Atticus she almost turned around and left, but that wouldn't be very 'professional.' She had to work with him at school after all, and it wouldn't do to have the boss just walk off because people she worked with and didn't like were there. Not that she chose to employ Atticus, actually he wasn't employed at all. He was doing this for school, and he didn't like her even more than she didn't like him. Thinking about this Emily shook her head. She never would figure that boy out. He could be absolutely cruel towards her, commenting about how bird brained she was, but then could be the sweetest thing alive when she was at breaking point with her stress level.
With a sigh Emily decided she should grab something to eat and start on that essay. She grabbed something small before walking over to Atticus, deciding to try and make a civil conversation since he was the only one she really knew. "Hey Atticus, how are classes going?" She pulled her text book and scroll of parchment out before taking a quick bite of her salad, and opening to the chapter.
