As you know in 1940 John Lennon was born. Hooray...I think. Why does this sound gloomy, you ask? Be cause 40 years later, in 1980, he was shot and killed by Mark David Chapman in front of the Dakota. So it's his 70th birthday, and 40 years after he died. Just letting you know.

I vaguely remember seeing the news about his assassination. RIP, John.
He died 30 years ago. Not 40.
