I myself have never worked with a sound board, but I thought I should bring it up.

I haven't worked with our sound-board for any of the plays yet, but I just about know my way around one.
I took Music Production last year, so I can work with the proper, big recording studio boards, and the one we've got in the theatre is pretty simple...

Chiasmus I really want to learn, but they have so many dials and switches and... ahhhh... big. It depends if you just want to opperate it for a show or if you catually want to design the acustics...show opperating is easy. Only two shows for me, but ah well.

As of this year, my senior year in hs, I can do anything, and have done, involving tech. I'm still floor crew for department shows but for other shows I have ran: Lights Spots Sound Floor Hmm, strange, I thought there will be more...

whoot! i'm the new sound guy at my school. it will be awsome. I actually enjoy doing it. ^.^ although i hate when i forget to turn on main mix, then wonder why no sound is coming out of the board. hehe...
((oh yeah, i understand the use of capitalization, and i can use it, i just usually don't, i'm terribly sorry for breaking this cardinal rule of the guild, but i just don't really like doing it. ))

The soundboard at our school is pretty much set up, all I ever have to do is ajust the speakers and mics, but then again, doing that and everything else does make it a little hard.... It is fun though, once you work it all out.

Dreaming2Escape The soundboard at our school is pretty much set up, all I ever have to do is ajust the speakers and mics, but then again, doing that and everything else does make it a little hard.... It is fun though, once you work it all out. The board is fairly simple if all the cabling is hooked right. We had a douche bag of a techie screw with our system so all the cables were hooked up wrong just so he could play his music inside the booth. I had to work a chior concert with a non functioning board!!!
