This is where the Alyssa and Margret spend their time during the summer. It is in the muggle world, and is a large mansion with little bits of ivy running up the edges of the white brick. The whole family, well what is left that is, is usually in and out during the whole summer.

Alyssa walked into the mansion with her arm around Kaydin's neck. She flashed him a reassuring smile pretty much telling him he was home now. It wasn't like she was old enough to adobt or that her grandparents were actually okay with a half-blooded slytherin staying the summer here or anything, it was just that Alyssa knew exactly what he had been through. Not wanting him to be alone all summer, she had invited him over. "Now, I won't be around much this summer. But just pretend I am around and go about the house as if it was a sleepoever of sorts. Sound good?" As she spoke, an older blonde women poked her head through the entry way door behind her. Taking her arm off of Kaydin's neck she turned to her grandmother and grabbed some of the bags she was holding. "Right. Lemme help you with those Grandma. "

Margret hated the fact that Alyssa had invited a half-blooded slytherin to the house for summer. It was bad enough she had to teach muggle borns and his kind all year long. Glaring at the shy boy he was standing in the corner right now she turned to her grandaughter and sighed. "Did you really have to invite him this summer? It's going to be so busy. Me training you to be a teacher and all that. God. Think next time will you Alyssa?

Alyssa frowned at her grandmother and shook her head. Figures she would be like this. "Look, he lost his freaking parents. Transfered to a new school, and now he has to deal with you being all judgemental on him. Get a life." She concluded and started towards the stairs turning towards Kaydin. "Come on Kaydin, I'll show you to the guest room.. errr, your new room I mean." She flashed him a smiled before turning to her granmother. Mouthng to her to be nice, she turned and walked back up the stairs.

Alyssa walked up to the guest room door and knocked on it lighty. She wanted to see how Kaydin was doing. They had been home for a while now, and the blonde had given the younger male a chance to unpack his things, even relax just a tad. As she lifted her arm to knock once more Kaydin appeared in the door way and tilted his head. "May I come in?" She asked with a small smile, seeing the confusion written all over his face. He nodded and she grinned some more. Kaydin took a step to the side of the door to make way for Alyssa to enter his room. Walking inside she crossed her arms over her chest and looked around for a long moment. Unsure of what else to say she stayed silent for a few moments. She didn't want to sit down, considering the only thing there to sit on was the bed. She knew it would be rude to sit there, even if it was her own house. Well her grandmothers house. "So, uhmm, how do like your room so far?""

Kaydin watched Alyssa as she stood in his new room. He could tell she was a little unsure of what to do. He understood the feeling completely, and didn't blame her. Kaydin never really felt comfortable sitting down at a friends house, or well one that wasn't his. He even had a hard time accepting the fact that he was staying the summer in very unfamiliar territory, with only one person who seemed to want him around. Professor Bates seemed completely unhappy with the fact that he was hear. He hadn't met her husband yet, but had a feeling he'd get the same vibe from him. "It's.... nice." He managed to say after a few minutes. The dark haired boy slowly began to walk over to the bed he'd be sleeping in. He was hestitant, but sat down really in the mood to stand and not wanting to have Alyssa think that he wasn't thankful for being here. He really was. "If you don't mind me asking, why are you going to be gone most of this summer?" He said quietly turning to her.

Alyssa glanced at him and smiled as he said the room was nice. That made her feel better. It wasn't like she had been the one to decorate it or anything, but a part of her felt bad fore bringing Kaydin here. He didn't know her that much, and figured it was awkward being under the same roof with his own teacher. Why hadn't Alyssa thought this through at all? Frowning she slipped a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear and looked over at Kaydin as she heard him speak. "Oh. I haven't told you? I thought I did." She said with a small chuckle. She apologized and quickly told him what was going on. When she finished she heard another knock on the door. Seeing her grandmother in the hallway she held out a note to Alyssa. Walking over she thanked her grandmother for it, and opened it right after grabbing it. Reading it she couldn't help but grin. A note from Alexander, that had been unexpected.

"I have to go do something really fast. If you need anything I'm just down the hall. Oh, and if you ever want a tour ask me. I'll gladly find some time to give you one." Alyssa said flashing him a grin. Kaydin nodded and called after her as she began to walk off. "Thank you." Was Alyssa had heard. She spun around and began to walk backwords. She nodded, and then turned back around making her way back to her own room. She opened up the door and ran to her desk. Pulling out a parchment and a quill she began to reply back to him.

"Alexander;
I know, it was a shame we didn't talk more. About the coffee, of course. I'd be glad to. When and where?
Until next time,
Alyssa"

She read over the note a few times and finally nodded in satisfactory. Looked good to her. She made her way to her owls' cage and opened it. Giving it the parchment she sent it on it's way. Alyssa watched it fly away, and then slowly walked over to her bed. She sat back and folded her arms over her chest as she began to recap the school year in her head. She had always wanted to speak to the male more. She remembered the first time she had seen him and how cute she thought he was. Shaking her head she couldn't help but let out a giggle at that thought.

Alyssa was still laying in bed when she noticed that she had recieved a reply from the male already. She grinned and grabbed the note from the owl herself. Giving the owl a treat she read the note and couldn't be even more thrilled when she read it. 3pm. Sounded good to her. The blonde stood and wandered over to her desk. Alyssa wrote back as soon as possible, not wanting to waste and time at all. It was nice to actually be able to talk to Alexander. She looked forward to the coffee later, and wondered what was in store conversation wise. Giving a quick squeal to herself, she finally knew what to write back. It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing.

"Alexander;
Most definitely today. 3PM is perfect. See you then.

Alyssa"

Smiling at the note she let the ink dry just a tad before handing it back to the owl. When she noticed it was in its grasp she watched it fly off once more. Standing up from the seat she was in, the blonde walked down the many stairs in the mansion. Making her way to her grandfathers study, she held her breath. The poor thing felt horrible for not greeting him just yet. Normally he was the first she'd see when getting back from school. Knocking on his door, she quietly opened his door and saw the older male leaning over his deask reading a book. "Hi!" She said happily. She skipped over to her surprised grandfather and gave him a hug.

Alyssa stood back soon after and sat down at a chair across from him. She decded to speak with him until either she got an owl from Alexander, and/or it was time for her to go.
