i can definetly see that as an argument, i loved dragon ball, on of my first anime's, before i realized i loved anime, and hell that was awesome stuff, the dragon ballz segment/saga seemed to just push to much of this, alway someone more powerful than the most powerful person in the world story

it was great for the first saga or two but after that it was just too formulaic, just like what happened to sailor moon.
