The climbing wall is a great activity to test your strength and coordination. Rocks will fall and lava will pour, so be careful and watch it.

For 'accidentally' helping the Stoll brothers at hot wiring the camp's car, she was on climbing wall duty. Bia growled, holding up some extremely scared daughter of Demeter as she tried to climb up. "I'm going to reach the top! I'm getting ready for a battle."she had told the daughter of Ares before she had been hoisted up on the wall. She looked around, hoping that she would come down, soon.

 Lyris reached the climbing wall, her eyes narrowed. Jumping the fence that surrounded it, she put on her gloves and tied back her hair before starting to climb. From the looks of the girl below her, she knew that she thought Lyris would make it. Gritting her teeth, she grabbed the next rock, her long fingers gripping it so hard her knuckles turned white.
She continued to climb, her entire face turning red from the heat coming off the wall. A cascade of lava poured down on her left side, and she quickly swung out of the way, her sleeve singed. Grunting with effort, she continued to climb, now past the three-quarters mark. At last she reached the top, panting and sitting down a moment. More rocks and lava poured down the wall, but she was safe from it.
She started down again, proud that she had managed to do something despite the fact the was merely a daughter of Themis. More rocks and lava, and this time they burned her fingers. Sucking on the blistered fingers, she somehow managed to get down using only one hand.

Lyris finally got down and ran over to the gate, inspecting her fingers on her right hand. They were badly burned, and she groaned, trying to shake the pain out. Opening the gate, she left for the infirmary, wanting to bandage her fingers and stick them in icy water.
Even as she left with her right hand feeling as though it were on fire, she couldn't help but feel proud as she left the Climbing Wall, knowing that few campers got up the entire way on their first times.

 Miyu looked around. She sneered at the sight of the climbing wall. Wow, she climbed higher mountains. She rubbed her hands and got to work. She quickly climbed it, and then when at the top, she said "May Nemesis have more children." she joked with herself. Then climbed down.

 Laughing softly to herself, Adonia came to the Climbing Wall out of sheer boredom. Being a daughter of Zeus, she was accustomed to heights, and climbing the wall had always been easy. She gripped the wall, starting up. She started to scale it, hanging from one arm and turning to the side as rocks and lava poured down her right. She clenched the grips, pushing hard and jumping over to the next side when the walls clanged together. Laughing at easiness of it all, she quickly climbed the whole thing, sitting there at the top, she took a drink from her water bottle, looking up at the gray, sky-drenched sky before climbing back down. "Too easy," She smirked, pulling her backpack back on.
"Wonder where Lyra and Gabriel are..." She wondered aloud. Without furthur ado, she took a running start and somersaulted over the fence, laughing with glee. Grinning to herself, she ran to the Boreas Cabin first, to check on Gabriel.

She walked into the area, her arms weighed down by buckets of cleaning supplies. After making sure no one was in range, she donned her fire-proof suit she'd borrowed from the cleaning harpies.
Gritting her teeth, she began to scrub away at the sign that said "Climbing Wall", etching out the dirt and polishing the bronze letters until everyone of them shone. Then began the time-consuming task of polishing the foot holds, which turned out to be a dangerous job, for even if hot magma got on her suit, it still was very hot, and she spent more time dodging rocks and magma then cleaning the foot holds.
Then she picked up a little bottle full of Lemon Pledge and started squirting away at the wooden slats that held up the wall, scrubbing until they shone. She then proceeded to scrub away at the bloody stains on the wall, frowning as she saw a particular nasty one. It took about half an hour just to scrub away that one stain.
Peeling back her mask, she realized she had spent quite a few hours cleaning the Climbing Wall, and she thought she had done a good job. Truth be told, it would have been nice to have had Claire there, but she was still in the infirmary, as far as she knew. "Επιτέλους, γίνεται Θαυμάσιος!" She proclaimed in Greek, marveling at the transformation she had provided. Rubbing her hands, she proceeded to mow the grass around the wall, as well as trim the hedges surrounding the area, and scrape away at the rust on the linked fence.
She watered the lawn, as well as pull up any weeds or roots around the wall, and swept away the magma that was burning into the ground. She even patched up the harnesses, using stain remover to get rid of small bloodstains and graffiti people had wrote on the harnesses, and then on the signs. She picked up her supplies and began to put them back in her buckets, finally peeling off the magma-proof suit and putting that in a bag. Hopefully, she wouldn't have to use it again.
She put her hands on her hips and smiled, proud of the hard work she had put into cleaning the wall, without powers too. She brushed away the hair in her eyes and, picking up her supplies, let herself out of what was now a shining metal gate.

Derek wandered aimlessly through camp and stopped by the climbing wall. It was one of the first things Derek did when he first arrived at camp, and he still loved to climb it. He carefully placed his hands on the base of the wall and skillfully climbed to the top in the matter of minutes.

"I'm not a freak. I'm just me, so deal with it." -Jinx Hansen Jinx walked towards the climbing wall, she stared at it with shock in her eyes. I can't climb that thing, but I'll try. She thought to herself. She had an elastic band around her wrist, then she put her hair into a pinytail. She placed her hands on the rocks at the base of the wall. She started to climb carefully because she did not want to fall. She was about halfway up when she noticed a boy at the top. She continued to climb carefully, she also continued to stare at the boy. She wasn't paying attention until her fingers slipped and scraped her forearm. "Ouch." She whispered painfully to herself and sucked in some air.

Derek stood on the top of the climbing wall, looking across the land as he'd done many times before. He carefully sat down at the edge of the wall and let his feet dangle, swinging them back and forth. He looked down and noticed a girl looking at her arm, which had been scratched. "You should pay more attention to what you're doing." Derek smiled. "That way you won't get scratched up as much."

Is that supposed to intimidate me? She merely shrugged, and carefully placed her foot on a nearby rock, a bit higher than she realized before. Taking in a deep breath, she carefully climbed the climbing wall. A rock came tumbling down towards her, as lava spewed out from a large yet unnoticable hole above her. She quickly dodged it. Note to self: Beware of the falling boulders and spewing lava. Most definitely hazardous... Miranda quickly and cautiously continued to climb the wall. She glanced at her forearm. It was slightly burned, but not enough to make her stop climbing. She shrugged it off, and surprisingly made it to the top with a sigh. She looked up at the boy towering above her. "Absolutely loving this wall." She thought aloud sarcastically to him, her French accent easily detectable.

"I'm not a freak. I'm just me, so deal with it." -Jinx Hansen When Jinx heard the boy talk, she looked away from her forearm and up at the boy. She was embarrassed and she tried to climb again. "I'll try," she said and moved to right when lava poured down, then she continued to climb. "My name's Jinx by the way." She said and reached the top of the wall after a little while because she tried being careful not to scratch herself up some more. She sat down about two feet away from the boy. She leaned forward, her elbows on her knees and her scar on her back was showing, since she was wearing nothing over her red tube top.

"I'm Derek." He grinned and leaned over the edge of the wall, watching the lava and the rocks fall from various spots. "The wall gets easier with practice, trust me." He laughed slightly as he remembered his first attempt at climbing the wall. He had only gotten a few feet off the ground before he lost his footing and fell.

What is there to do in this infernal camp? Stare into space? Miranda shook her head disapprovingly. Honestly, I didn't think this place would be so...dreary... until I actually got here. A little bead of crimson formed, she wiped it off with her index finger and it stung. "Ow," she whispered to herself, then looked over at Derek. "So, who're you the son of?" She asked him with a small smile.
