Keep an eye on your shoulder against the wind of your walk
An eye ahead to know who doth talk;

I am stuck on this Throw project D:

I'm just a beginning knitter. And with my personality type; it's REALLY hard to admit I need help sad I hate it, I really do. But I'm stuck and I want to continue this project..
Pattern:
Cast on 12 sts
Knit 24 rows (12 garter stitch ridges on RS)
Increasing Section: Next row (RS): cast on 12 sts, k to end
Next row: cast on 12 sts, k12, p12, k12
Row 1: (RS) knit
Row 2: k12, p12, k12
Rep rows 1 and 2 eleven more times - 12 garter stitch ridges on RS
Cast on 12 sts at beg of next row and k to end.
Cast on 12 sts at beg of next row, k12, p12, k12, p12, k12 (there should be five 12-stitch blocks across). Continue in established pattern.
Repeat increasing sequence as established until 9 blocks across row have been completed.

I'm stopping there cause this is where I'm stuck. Now I have a few questions:

1- With the italicized part, is it a terribly bad thing that I ended up with 14 instead of 11? Should I go back and correct it or is it okay to just keep going?

2- Does the "repeat increasing sequence" mean I start back at the bolded section labeled "increasing sequence"?

The full pattern can be purchased from buying Sensations Rainbow Boucle

As for question 1, if it barely noticeable and doesn't affect how the throw knits (which it sounds like it shouldn't), you can leave it. As for question 2, that's what it sounds like. Good luck with your project!

The way I'm reading it, I'm seeing 12 ridges in my mind on that section, but I don't think it'd be that big of a problem. What you've posted looks to me like a triangle made up of blocks, sorta like what I put below with the little symbols down there:

*****
***
*

It wouldn't make too much of a difference if the second and third rows of blocks are both 1 garter ridge longer than the first block.

Granted, the way the stitches are cast on in the increase section will add an extra ridge on one side, I think, since you cast on the first set and when casting on the second set, you knit them, making what I think would be 1 garter ridge.

(This is all on me picturing the pattern right, and my brain's a bit fried from my electrical engineering classes right now. Let me know if something I've written doesn't make sense, and I'll try and explain it better.)

Well here's to hoping..

Actually it's a square. Not a triangle. Kinda looks like a shirt if you lay it out.
