All that has been seen in this world is a deserted sand area. This could be because Keyblade Graveyard only consists of sand and nothing else. The area looks faintly like "The Great Maw" in the Radiant Garden. Some of the scenery appears to have battle scars left from the Keyblade War.

Somewhere on this world is a field covered in the Keyblades of the Keyblade masters who fell during the Keyblade War. The open spaces in the Keyblades creates a crossroads.

The sands blew forcefully against her skin, but she refused to acknowledge it. She crouched right in the middle of the crossroads, drawing little designs in the dirt. The designs didn't hold much significance as she was randomly moving her finger about without much thought. One would think she would be quite lonely but company wasn't a necessity to her.

The wind beginning to settle and calm to a total stop. She shook and patted her clothes as clean as she could. She bent forward, ruffling her fingers through her hair to get most of the mess out. She took a deep breath as she walked to a small grouping of keyblades, using their edges to clean the grit out from her fingernails. A cold chill ran down her spine as she felt as if something or someone was nearby. She looked about warily.

...nothing... She thought, discerning the thought of excitement.

The darkness jump he had summoned had brought Ryu into a completely different world than he would have imagined. So far, he had been to a total of three worlds, none of them holding his excitement very long. His thoughts lingered on the heartless that he had met in his first attempt to world travel. Expression stoic, even though he was harboring grim thoughts at meeting up with that pushy heartless, Ryu walked into an area that would suck out the joy from almost any normal person. The swirling vortex of darkness behind him began to die down, dissipating altogether as Ryu took a step forwards, further into this world.

All around him, on each sides of the beaten path, there were countless weapons scattered in every direction. Not having the faintest idea of what they were for, he stared, coaxing his head to one side as if the answers would just pop up if he stared long enough. A prickling sensation caused the boy to tear his gaze away from the discarded tools to look further up the path that he was now heading on currently. Ryu should have been surprised to see anyone at all in this place, whatever this place was, but he was beginning to lose that excitement he normally would have harbored. He stared at the person, eyes displaying his piqued interests while his facial expressions stayed bland. He did not speak, merely stayed observant as if by staring at her long enough, she too would produce the answers he was seeking.

High above in the dark dust covered sky a black figured swirled. A child of Vanity. He would not let, Ryu out of his sights so easily. A portion of Vanity just wanted to watch out for him and keep his Heartless brethen safe from harm but a large part of him needed, Ryu for something. It wasnt easy keeping tabs on him in this way, the crow would have to fly through the portals with, Ryu or create ones of their owns just to keep up with the child. Watching through the eyes of his precious child Vanity kept a close eye on, Ryu because he didnt seem to be alone in this place.

The air smelled different quite suddenly, perking her attention instantly. She followed the scent, turning her head as she did. It led her to focus on a person, who she had thought was human at first. She took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. She proceeded to sniff the air again.

"You're not human. You don't have that similar smell about you. What are you?" She said, becoming more interested by the second. Her attempts to put two and two together were failing as she couldn't think of how to go about the situation. She didn't remember how long exactly its been since she saw another person. She ended up just staring into the person's as he did to her. The hearts she collected started to pound within her chest. The beating continued to grow stronger as it they wanted to burst out from within.

"Theres something about you..." She was able to sum up that much at least. What exactly the hearts were reacting to, she have yet to realize.

The being finally turned it's attention to Ryu, causing him to become slightly more fidgety as he stood there. Curling his hands into fists, he stared at her intently. She was acting more and more like a dog than a person. Her actions had led Ryu to come to the same conclusion, she was not human either, nor was she a heartless. He would have been able to sense it off the bat and the fact that she herself had not realized what he was gave it away even more. It was not a comfortable though to go along with. Whatever she was, he had to decide fast whether or not she was threat or just part of the scenery.

Ryu was drawn to this person, he could feel the more primitive part of his nature want to possess the girl. Coaxing his head to one side, two antennae that he was able to hide started to form, protruding off of the top of either side of his head. Amber eyes glowing he continued to stare at her.

"We are not the same."

He deducted, trying to figure out what she was before he gave himself away even more. Ryu could not stop his semi transformation. The tips of his fingers turned black, claws forming. Was she doing this to him? Bringing out the predator in him. Was it her heart he was craving for deep down inside.

Her hearts had continued to leave her unsettled. If this person was the cause of it, then he had to be some sort of threat to them.

"They're mine..." She spoke softly, thinking that they may be what he had showed up for. She bent her knees slightly, watching him closely. She noticed the peculiar transformation he was going through.

"You're not human, I can tell that much. You lack a heart as well, I can't sense one about you..."Her own power was growing more evident. Slight traces of her dark energy was becoming visible, dust and sand slowly kicking up around her. She bared her teeth at him, not sure as to how she was supposed to approach him. She smirked at him.

"Whatever you may be... Do you know my name?"

The mentioning of the lack of heart he possessed seemed to further draw out the predator inside. Ryu was not one to pick fights, nor was he the type to misjudge people based on shallow judgments. Narrowing his eyes at the dame, he smirked, his normally expressionless features growing more and more sinister by the second. If Vanity had been beside him at the second, he would have resembled him to a tsp. The girls sure to tell possessiveness of what was 'hers' egged him on.

He listened to her silently, not interrupting her like the proper gentleman. Yes. A heartless was without a heart, that was why they fed off of the weaker of hearts enshrouded in darkness. Ryu was sure he had hunted those type of hearts before but now that he was at this level, a level of consciousness, he was not able to recall. Her last question did not stir him as much as her possessive claim earlier.

"Can you really blame me for wanting what I don't have, especially when you cannot even mask what you so diligently cling to."

His tone was icy as he spoke to her, his eyes sparkling with the mischievous thoughts that were running through his mind. Call it a split personality but when his more primitive nature was egged on he tended to get out of hand really quickly. After a long pause, he scoffed at her, finally responding to her last question.

"Should I?"

"That alone tells me that you don't. If I send you back from whence you came, maybe you'll learn of it then." She spat at the ground, annoyed at the fact that she was incapable of saying her own name, knowing the power behind it, it being a failsafe to keep her in check. Being stuck here all this time was getting to her. If this this one got here by means of his powers, she'd use it to get out of this dreaded graveyard.

"You're going to get me out of here... whatever you are. It seems like you weren't like the others I've fought previously. My reputation isn't as renowned as I had hoped. The only I'll be able to become as powerful as I want to be is if they know who I am..." She held her hand outstretched towards him, concentrating her power around her hand. In a few seconds, her power began to manifest as her keyblade, Ignited Heart. You could only see the ornate blade of her keyblade before it bursts into flame.

"I suggest you to comply or I'll burn you to ash like all the others..." She wrote something on the ground, what looked like a word or name. The dirt and sand sizzling, charring almost as she finished. When she finished, she switched her grip backwards and went into an offensive stance. Her knees bent slightly, with her free hand laying ready against her side.

She wrote it down so that he could easily read it. Assuming he could read. It read: V E R C I G E N T O

Contradictory. That was exactly as Ryu saw this creature. First, she had reprimanded him for not knowing who she was and then she threatened to send him back into the realm of darkness for not knowing it. She herself could not even tell him her name, apparently. Ryu raised a brow quizzically at her as the being went on further, demanding him that he comply with her request to get her out of this place or else. Watching the ignited weapon, and glancing at the words scratched out on the ground, he was not impressed by her show at all. Crossing his arms tightly across his chest he rolled his amber eyes, looking away from her.

"If you want me to get you out of here, wouldn't it be more polite to ask, seeing if you have any manners to begin with."

Ryu looked at one of his hands, inspecting his claws with an aloof expression. Sure, that weapon alone was probably enough to beat Ryu, but he would not let it go to where she could touch him. He did not get his hands dirty and was not keen on pointless battles. There was nothing this creature had that held merit for him, thus a pointless battle. Sure those hearts. he was sure she possessed, were enticing enough but not to get killed over. It was a lot easier to pick them off of the weak anyways.

Looking back up at her, and to the ground where she had scribbled what he had originally assumed her name was, he smiled, his dark features lighting up and giving him an utter look of innocence. Truth be told, he could not get out of this place that quickly anyways, he had traveled toomuch today as it was and had summoned a decently large heartless to distract Vanity at one point.

The tip of her keyblade dug into the ground, heating up the ground to point where some bits of rock would just and fizz from the intense heat. She gripped the handle tightly, agitated by his answer.

"I'm not going to bother with being nice... Take me out of here or else." She said, digging her foot into the ground, as if she was going to break into a dash at a moments notice.

"I don't care where we go, as long as its out of here." She was definitely ready to fight this time. She needed to escape this place, and whatever power he used was her ticket out of here.

Ryu looked at her, his expression dropping, his look priceless as he stared at her. Was this creature serious? She wanted him to comply with no benefit in it for him? He was a heartless, not a saint. Looking away from her, he crossed his arms tightly across his chest and scoffed at her. Even though he was a safe enough distance away from her to react in case of a sudden burst of assault, Ryu was still wary, especially when she began to activate whatever weapon it was that she had in her possession. Feeling uncomfortable now, he set his mouth into a tight, hard line, the pink color of his lips turning white from the pressure.

Amber eyes still ablaze, he stayed silent, trying to figure out what he was to do at that point. True, he was intimidated, not by her but the weapon in her tight grip. He was a heartless now, what did he have left to lose anymore?

"Why should I? If you have not taken notice...I could really care less what happens to me. If I have to depart from this shadow of a form it does not bother me. It is not in my nature to fear. You on the other hand seem more inclined to find purpose somewhere else. Killing me will not get you out of here so you should probably be a little nicer."

His voice was steely and iron clad, his will against hers absolute. If she wanted to fight he would indulge her but Ryu did not sully his own claws anymore. He did not have to, not when he could call heartless to him.

Vanity was quiet pleased to hear, Ryu speak such words. Perhaps he did have some hidden courage in him...or maybe just lack of care for his own existance. Either way Vanity could use the boy. Smiling behind the eyes of the black feathered demon, Vanity still kept his distance circling over the two. He would still not yet interupt he still needed to see exactly what Ryu was capable of.

She gritted her teeth as withdrew from her stance. She finger combed her hair back as if to keep her from becoming too frustrated. She let go of the keyblade, its form fading away before it dropped to the ground.

"You better hope for you own sake that me being... nicer... will benefit me more. Get me out of here... and I won't kill you." She gnashed her teeth, incredibly agitated at being defeated so easily without him even drawing a weapon. She had no choice but to submit for the time being. The thought of slaying him the moment he was of no use to her appealed to her greatly. She but only needed the one chance and it would be over. However, those thoughts had to be put aside. She had to at least fake the kindness.

Eyes twinkling, the heartless brought his hand over his mouth and let out a sound that almost sounded foreign to him, laughter. His cheeks were flushed slightly against his pale features as he continued to laugh at the girls expense. Of course, this was not the wisest thing to do, but it was funny. Still very amused, he grinned at her, this bringing out his more boyish features. Ryu almost looked alive now, nothing like the serious shadow he had been as of late. Keeping himself from thinking of her actions once more to stop himself from bursting into laughter once more, he cleared his throat, coaxing his head to one side, something he had a habit of doing. Raising a brow quizzically at her he scoffed.

"You didn't say please..."

He added, torturing her some more. Even though he was obviously joking, he remained emotionless, his voice level as he spoke to her. He might as well just do this and get it over with, even though he was finding it very exhilarating tormenting her. The boy was not stupid. You could only push a being so far before they lost it and no matter how much she needed him she could easily just kill him now...not that it mattered. All he wanted now was information. What was she, and why did he make her feel like losing himself to his primitive side?

"Before I send you on your merry way, indulge me for a few minuets. What are you?"

He asked her, keeping his head still tilted to one side. His black locks fell into his face, hiding his eyes for a second before he straightened himself out and twitched his head to one side, swaying his hair out of his eyes.
