I wish I'd remembered this sooner....
Nintendo has released the Yellow Forest Event via Wifi, for the pokewalker, in North America so don't forget to connect and obtain yours!
The event runs until May 5th, so get it while you can.
Pick it up from a delivery guy in green in the nearest Pokemart after downloading. After you save it'll be on your pokewalker course list.
The Yellow Forest is full of those adorable Pikachu, but not just any Pikachu. Some of them know Fly or Surf, or Volt Tackle, or other rare moves Pikachu doesn't usually learn on its own. The rarer moves come up in Pikachu only after you've walked a certain amount of steps in a day, so be careful!
I'll compile a basic list of what you generally get from the pokemon:
0+ steps:
Pikachu A:
Gender--female
Item--Oran Berry
Moves: Thundershock, Growl, Tail Whip
Level: 10
Pikachu B:
Gender--male
Item--Tinymushroom
Moves: Thundershock, Growl, Tail Whip, Thunder Wave
Level: 10
5000+ Steps:
Pikachu C:
Gender--female
Item--Sitrus Berry
Moves: Volt Tackle, Fake Out, Thundershock, Growl
Level: 12
Pikachu D :
Gender--male
Item--Leppa Berry
Moves: Flail, Helping Hand, Shock Wave, Thunder Wave
Level: 13
10000+ steps:
Pikachu E:
Gender--female
Item--Lum Berry
Moves: Surf, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Quick Attack
Level: 14
Pikachu F:
Gender--male
Item--Shuca berry
Moves: Fly, Thunder, Growl, Tail Whip
Level: 15
As you can see, you're going to have to do a LOT, I repeat, a LOT of work to get the final two. From all indications encounter rates for the flying and surfing Pikachus are only three percent even after you reach the daily 10000 step mark.
So keep trying! Eventually you'll get one...if you do a lot of moving.
For further information, please go here. You can find a list of items on the ground that you can locate by radar.
Good luck to everyone!!!
