Lavender bustled about the gallery, making sure that all the pictures were hanging neatly, the fliers were piled straight, and her bag was safely in the locker. The little treasures that she had acquired earlier were in there. It would be a Very Bad Thing if they somehow got lost.
When the people who ran the art gallery told her that the show was about to open, Lavender shuffled her way over to the spot by the door where she would stand and answer questions. So, she stood there and chewed her lip, heart beating quickly.
"I hope this'll work out..." Lavender muttered under her breath.

An art show was not something Dooma would normally go too. She preferred to stay away from crowds if she could help it. But in this city one might as well get to know the places and events. Thanks to Alian she would be spending quite a bit of time within the city. Besides maybe she could find some leads to Vonraim's boy...or the man who had killed Vonraim. A dark little smirk came to Dooma's lips at the thought of repaying the man's cruelty. But now was a time to keep an ear out for information and enjoy some hopefully tasteful art.

As Lavender watched people slowly filter in to her art show her eye caught on a skull. Blinking and tilting her head, she looked closer. The skull was on top of a person's head. Lavender's fingers itched for her sketchbook. The person (a woman, upon closer inspection) was looking around at both the art and the people. 'She must have a story,' Lavender thought. 'I wonder what that skull's from...'

Dooma's red eyes almost matched the glow of the skull's eyes atop her head. Though unlike the almost hatred that shone in the skull's eye Dooma's had a hint of boredom in them, not that she was bored. She moved allow the room looking at the art unaware that someone was looking at her. She moved with a slow smooth grace her long baggy pants hid the movements of her feet and from the view that could be seen of her rather endowed chest the tip of a deep claw mark could bee seen peeking out of the top of her low cut shirt.

Lavender lifted her hand to her mouth, almost bit down on it, then hurriedly shoved it back in her pocket. 'Not the time for that nervous gesture,' she told herself. Noticing the scar on the stranger's chest, Lavender winced, knowing that getting it must have hurt. Her fingers itched for her sketchbook and pencils even more now, but they were in the locker with her bag. Lavender took several calming breaths. "I might as well," she muttered under her breath. Walking up to the stranger, Lavender tapped her on the shoulder and said, "Hello. Do you like my art?"

When she felt a tap to her shoulder Dooma turned. The skull's glowing eye turned its focus onto Lavender well before Dooma's eyes fell on her. "This is your art?" She asked in an even fairly low voice. She gave a glance around again then looked back at the woman in front of her. "You have a nice hand at it. It is very nice."
In fact Dooma was a bit surprised that someone looking like Lavender would be so skilled in art.

"Thank you, I work hard," Lavender replied with a smile. "And I've been drawing for a long time. I guess you could say for decades now, but it doesn't feel like that long." Taking a nervous glance at the skull, Lavender continued, "I wish to be a syndicated Japanese style comic artist one day. This show is a first step. My agent arranged it, he's very nice to me."

Dooma rested a hand on her hip as she listened to the other woman talking. She gave a nod every now and then to show she was listening. "Time never feels as long as it should be. And I hope that your wish comes true. This would be the town for it I am sure. It is a very nice show. And it seems to be doing well. Hopefully you will find the right person around to help you get father towards becoming what you want."

Lavender smiled happily. "Thank you for the nice words, stranger. This is a very lively town. I do like it here." With a sigh, Lavender softly murmured, "I get homesick though, sometimes." Giving herself a shake, Lavender said, "Well, please enjoy yourself. Some stuff is for sale. Ask the gallery people if you need help!" With that and a quick half bow, Lavender went back to her spot at the door.
