Casting Crowns is really good. Their songs really make you think. My favorite of theirs is "If We Are the Body." I have posted the lyrics to it here in the guild before, but I can post them again here. smile
It's crowded in worship today As she slips in Trying to fade into the faces The girls' teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know Farther than they know
CHORUS But if we are the Body Why aren't His arms reaching Why aren't His hands healing Why aren't His words teaching And if we are the Body Why aren't His feet going Why is His love not showing them there is a way There is a way
A traveler is far away from home He sheds his coat And quietly sinks into the back row The weight of their judgemental glances tell him that his chances Are better out on the road
CHORUS But if we are the Body Why arent His arms reaching Why arent His hands healing Why arent His words teaching And if we are the Body Why arent His feet going Why is His love not showing them there is a way
Jesus paid much too high a price For us to pick and choose who should come And we are the Body of Christ
Chorus (2x) If we are the body Why arent His arms reaching Why arent His hands healing Why arent His words teaching And if we are the body Why arent His feet going Why is His love not showing them there is a way
Jesus is the way

Avalon and dc Talk are two of my favorites. Avalon actually is one of the groups that lead me to Christ to begin with...with the help of my friend Sarah. I absolutely adore La Rue as well. Switchfoot has some songs that "lean that way" towards Christianity but they've broken more into secular, but it's pretty well known they kind of started as Christian.

No prob! What genre of music do you like anyways? Because I could probably give you an excellent christian band that plays that type of music. What secular bands do you listen to?

Adjective Black Sabbath (not as Satanic as they sound) Led Zeppelin Nightwish Sonata Arctica Basically metal and classic rock. hmm... Well, I love blindside and skillet... I'd say from my list, skillet would be closest to your style. There are quite a few metal christian bands though:
Demon Hunter As I Lay Dying Zao Tourniquet Staple Haste the Day Norma Jean
But you may find something from the list above that you like. I suggest you download a few songs from each of the bands. 3nodding
