It's a small place but it's what I can afford right now. It's still better then living with my father after all.

Alexander sighed as he woke up, looking at the ceiling. The fact that he had his own place was something that he still needed to get used to. It felt like he would never be free from his father, despite the fact that he spent most of the year in school. He never thought that he’d be where he was now, laying in a queen sized bed in a small apartment that he could call his own place for now.
He was able to afford it through summer jobs. He had worked on getting the money back to Hikari, though he knew no monetary compensation could ever add up to the damage that he had done to her. He had never gone and done what he had but at the time he truly felt like he had no choice and that it was the only way out. He knew now that there was always other ways to do things, even if it wasn’t the first and easiest choice.
Sighing, he shook his head as he sat up before he stood up and got ready for the day. He needed to go to go looking for a second job. He had a job right now as a waiter, but it was part time and he needed a bit more money to survive. Getting dressed in nicer clothing, he went through his morning procedure before he picked up an apple on his way out, biting into the sweet fruit as he left the building and headed down the street.
As he walked, he thought about different things but his thoughts only came back to one girl. Alyssa. He hadn’t approached her at all last year, rather observed her from a glance. He had gotten immediately caught up with Myles. The blonde boy had been a good friend but not as good in the relationship category. After a bit more soul searching on Alexander’s part, he had decided he was straight with a slight interest in men. Call it bisexual if you would, but he didn’t have that much of an inclination towards men.
He wished that he had interacted with Alyssa more. They had talked here and there in classes but other than that they hadn’t gotten to know each other too well. What would she think if he sent her an owl? Curious about this, he paused in his step. His job search could be postponed for a bit. He headed back to his building, a trek which was thankfully only half a street backward, and walked into his apartment, making his way to a desk where parchment was out and a quill with ink. Dipping his quill in the black liquid, he wrote a quick message.
“Alyssa, I know we hadn’t talked a huge amount last year…Would you be interested in joining me for some coffee? Sincerely, Alexander Ramanova”
There. That was easy. He waited for it to dry as he set his quill down and called for his owl. After it was dry, he sealed it in an envelope and tied it to his owl’s leg, feeding her a treat before letting her go. That being done, he sighed and headed back out to search for a second job, wondering what her response would be.

Alexander smiled as he got such a fast response from Alyssa. He quickly took the message from the owl, making sure to give it at treat before it flew out of his window. He sat down at his desk and opened it to read his message, smiling as he did so. She accepted his invitation and for that he was happy. He was glad that he would be able to get to know the Slytherin girl even more, despite the fact that she was now going to be a teacher rather then a student. Oh well, that thought didn't deter him at all.
Picking up another piece of parchment and his quill, he inked his quill before he wrote a response.
"Alyssa, I'm glad for your response. Are you free today? How about today at 3PM at Fortescues for some ice cream and or coffee? If today's not good for you, maybe tommorrow or the next day? I don't mind. Whatever's the most convenient for you.
Alexander"
He wrote it and waited for it to dry before he called his own owl back and attached the message to its leg, allowing it to go as he watched it fly. Already he was anxious for her next reply.

Alexander paced his room, anxious for a response from Alyssa. He wanted to know what she was going to say and the waiting was killing him. Thankfully, an owl came relatively soon with her response and he truly had to restrain himself from ripping off the owl's foot off in his haste to get to the message. After an indignant hoot and peck from said animal, he gave it a treat and opened the letter hastily so that he could read what was inside.
3PM. She had accepted his meeting him. He was happy. He finally had another friend to hang out with and it was possible that it would evolve to be something more. He put the letter down on his desk before he went to his dresser to find an outfit for the day, nixing out certain things and looking at others.
It was around 2PM that he was done dressing and getting ready and now all he could do was fidget. He wanted it to be 3PM already but he wasn't sure what to do to kill the time before it was the time. Sighing, he grabbed his wand and went to his fireplace, lighting up before he threw some floo powder into it. Stepping inside, he called out "Diagon Alley" before he disappeared through the flames and to the wizarding area. He figured he would be better off killing him and browsing the shops until he saw Alyssa.
