Hello, I am Professor Katherine Benediere. Although I look young I take my job very seriously. Please read on to learn more about me.User Name: AthrunsKasemei Student Name: Katherine Benediere House: Slytherin Year: Second Year Professor of Herbology Age: Nineteen Description: Blood: Pure Wand: Eleven and a Half Inches, Holly, Dragon Heartstring History: Katherine was born into a wealthy pureblood family. Both her parents are former Death Eaters, though not many knew about that. Her family was never really associated with Voldermort. They were kind of like Peter Pettigrew; they helped without being recognized by the public. Any person that might have known for sure that they were a Death Eater would have been killed by either one of Katherine’s parents. After Voldermort’s death, her parents pretended like they had nothing to do with Voldermort, and the only reason that they had all been in Slytherin was because of their wealth and Pureblood status. It’s not like they had a choice. It was either change or be caught and thrown into prison, and they didn’t want to be thrown into Azkaban. Katherine was raised with some Death Eater influence, but she realized after a while that it didn’t matter.
She graduated from Hogwarts two years ago. However, after Professor Aries had to take sudden leave, the Herbology class was in need of a teacher. The headmaster had immediately suggested the spot to the couple of Rein Violet and herself, and they immediately took the spot, despite their age. They were exceptionally gifteed in Herbology and needed a job, so it was logical. Unfortunately, Rein and her had encountered differences and Rein had left. Katherine is now the sole teacher of Herbology.
Personality: She was originally cold towards everyone but Slytherins, believing that only Purebloods were deemed worthy of being talked to, and only those who were in Slytherin mattered. However, she eventually learned that being Slytherin really didn’t matter, and who her friends were who she wanted them to be. She slowly became more caring and kind, and eventually associated with everyone, not just Slytherins. Pet: An White owl named Moonlight Position: Herbology Teacher Other: She absolutely loves to play Quidditch.

~Laura S. Brechkovsky~ As usual Laura was the first one in class first period. She always strove to beat even the teacher so that she could be ready for class. Now she sat silently reading her book with the materials she would need for class out. She was fully aware that any moment her sister would walk in. Since boarding the train yesterday she hadn't had to worry about Viktorya. Both girls had given each other a wide berth just to avoid each other as much as possible. They were both in classes together however since they were both 5th years, so soon they would have no choice but to face each other. Viktorya could sit on the other side however. Laura always sat in the front of the classroom, and she doubted Viktorya would. Viktorya didn't care enough about school to sit in the front. Here at Hogwarts she cared even less. Knowing her sister, Laura figured that Viktorya would pull up a seat as far back as she could and fall asleep. Laura hoped she did it to one of the Slytherin Professors, John Yelsah, Daniel Blackburn, or Even Atticus Travis. Either of them would give her a piece of their mind, and she would get what was coming to her. She wished Emily Wixom was still teaching. She would have easily seen through Viktorya. Emily may seem sweet and innocent, but she had a temper like Laura. She was getting much better at controlling it however, and that was Laura's current goal. Especially after being grounded to her room most of the summer.

Harvey Wilkinson Harvey walked into Herbology, still feeling very sleepy from the previous night. After leading all of the Ravenclaws to their dormitories, he had had to take care of a first year boy who had gotten sick from eating something at the feast, so Harvey hadn't been able to go to bed until around 4 in the morning, bringing his sleep count to a grand total of 3 hours. Seeing that Laura was already in the classroom, though, Harvey suddenly felt as if he had slept 10 hours. He walked over to her and greeted, "Good morning, Laura. Had a good rest last night?" He took the seat at Laura's right as he remembered the snub he had felt last night when Laura declared that she had no feelings for him. He felt glad that she was still unaware of his feelings for her, though; Harvey felt that he was always giving away that he liked her, but he guessed it was subtle enough that Laura hadn't caught onto the fact. Viktorya Brechkovsky Viktorya shuffled into the Herbology greenhouse, eyes half-closed with sleep. Honestly, why couldn't classes start around midday? The students would appreciate not having to wake up practically at the crack of dawn to have some crock teach them stuff that would never be needed in real life. She saw that her sister was already in the classroom, sitting at the front of the class like always, but she seemed to be talking to a guy...and a cute one at that. Viktorya had been determined to take a seat at the very back of the class, but now that she had an opportunity to ruin what could otherwise be a sweet moment with a possible flame, the back of the class seemed much less appetizing. Striding to the front and taking the seat to Laura's left, Viktorya greeted, her Russian accent still clearly prominent, "Good morning, dear sister. How you doing on gorgeous morning? Enjoying company?" She gave her sister a poisonously sweet smile, which turned into an alluring smile as she turned to face the boy that had been talking to her sister and said, "Good morning to you too. I Viktorya Brechkovsky, Laura's older sister." Viktorya knew that her sister was now seething at her interruption, but Viktorya was having great fun in breaking up their moment; nothing gave her greater joy than making her sister miserable.

 ~Laura S. Brechkovsky~
Laura looked up from her book when Harvey started speaking to her, and concentrated on him. Why was he so interested in talking to her anyways? It wasn't that she really minded, it was just that she didn't see him talking to a bunch of other people. Many people thought she was too buried in her books to notice, but in actuality, Laura always paid close attention to others. More often than not, she was concentrated more on them than her book. Laura saw Viktorya and shook her head. The girl could just jump in a fish bowl for all Laura cared. "Good morning Harvey. I slept fine thank you. I trust you did as well?" Laura gave a curt nod, and the closest thing she ever came to a smile. When she saw Viktorya sit beside her however, Laura whirled about. What on Earth was her sister doing sitting next to her? Viktorya had wanted to knock Laura's head off all summer for getting her grounded. Why was she bothering with her now?
When Viktorya started talking to Harvey, she pursed her lips in understanding. Viktorya wasn't being nice to Laura. She was doing her best to be a nuisance. Taking a deep breath, Laura showed the first signs of irritation she had shown her entire time at Hogwarts. When Viktorya pointed out that she was Laura's older sister she quietly muttered "Yeah, by fifteen lousy minutes because she's such a selfish b*****d." It was bitter, and Laura fought back a smile when Harvey gave her a bewildered look. Laura may have a terrible temper, but it never showed through at Hogwarts. She had also never let on that she had a twin. The entire common room had been buzzing last night at the mention of another Brechkovsky. That just wasn't a popular name in England. Laura had ignored it however. Not wanting to talk about it. After another moment Laura whirled on Viktorya. "What do you want Viktorya? I was under the impression that you hated me for getting you grounded to your room. It was all my fault after all." Laura had not fully recovered from her sister blaming her for the incident. While their father had decided they were both equally to blame and shared the equal punishment, Viktorya had not been so kind in her thoughts.

Viktorya Brechkovsky Viktorya kept smiling poisonously at her younger twin as she replied, "No one blame you, Laura. Ve both guilty, and could never hate you; you my sister!" She leaned forward and gave her sister a hug, relishing the annoyance that she knew was coursing through her sister at the moment. Yes, this was definitely worth sitting at the head of the class for the day. After letting her sister go, Viktorya turned back to Harvey, smiled alluringly once more, and said, "Do not mind little sister; she very temperamental." Viktorya gave Laura an endearing--yet mocking--look as she waited for her to respond to what she had just said.

 ~Laura S. Brechkovsky~
Laura hissed at Viktorya as she said she didn't blame her. The entire summer Viktorya had made it quite clear that she thought Laura was the sole reason for her suffering. If Laura hadn't of been born it would have solved so much for Viktorya. When Viktorya hugged her Laura jumped to her feet as if she had been scalded. Her nostrils flared and her chest was heaving. She was fully aware that the students around her were shocked. This was the robot girl? Strait and proper was coming undone because her sister had hugged her? When Viktorya turned again to Harvey and told him to not mind her, that she was very tempermental, Laura's anger seethed. Why was this so easy for Viktorya? Laura wanted to reach out and smack Viktorya smack her good and hard. She knew she couldn't however. Professor Benediere would walk in at any moment. If she walked in as soon as Laura slapped Viktorya, she was the only one in trouble. If she walked in after it turned into a fight, they were both in trouble. Either way, Laura knew that laying a hand on her sister would earn her a trip to Professor Wixom, and that wasn't what she wanted. Wixom would write her Papa, and he'd be furious she'd attacked her sister after spending 6 full weeks in her room.
As Laura thought all of this threw, and idea came to her. If Viktorya wanted to play this game, then bring it on. Laura was more than capable. Laura smiled sweetly. It was forced on two accounts. One, she was absolutely boiling with anger at her sister, and two, she never smiled. "You are right dear Viktorya. I am sorry I was so quick to get frustrated. I assure you that had Professor Zanbrecher seen it, she would have been absolutely shocked." It was the truth. Had any professor seen Laura's sudden flare up, they would have been shocked. Every student in the class currently was shocked themselves. But Laura had seen Viktorya's reaction last night when the woman walked in. She also knew that Zanbrecher was from Durmstrang. That would get under Viktorya's skin at least slightly.

Viktorya Brechkovsky Viktorya glared at Laura when she mentioned Professor Zanbrecher. Viktorya wasn't even sure she wanted to see the woman again--even though she knew that she had to take Potions with her while she was at Hogwarts--but she couldn't let her sister know that her comment had gotten under her skin. Forcing herself to smile back at Laura, Viktorya had been about to make another smart retort, but she was stopped short when Harvey began speaking, much to her pleasant surprise. Harvey Wilkinson Harvey watched the two sisters speak to each other, confused by their words, actions, and facial expressions. Why were they acting so strangely with each other? Why had Laura's sister--who ever thought that Laura would have a sister? She really kept that part of herself very well hidden--come over to talk to Laura when it was obvious they both didn't get along? Laura said something about Professor Zanbrecher that seemed to irk Viktorya, but before Viktorya had a chance to reply, Harvey said, "Okay, could you both please stop? Laura, you are a prefect and are usually much more in control than you are right now. It's obvious your sister is trying to do you in and get a rise out of you, and it seems it has worked, but this seems to have the potential to escalate to a dangerous level, so both of you stop. Viktorya, I would really appreciate it if you didn't bug your sister to try to get her angry; from what I've seen of her temper today, you could end up regretting whatever you did to piss her off enough to hurt you." Harvey threw a glance at Laura after addressing Viktorya to show her that he really was trying to look out for her, knowing that Viktorya had been prepared to take this to a level neither of them were ready to face the consequences for.

 ~Laura S. Brechkovsky~
Laura was smiling in satisfaction that she had finally got to Viktorya when Harvey cut in. She gave him a quick glare, but then changed it immediately. It wasn't his fault she was so frustrated. With a quick nod Laura obliged to Harvey and went back to her book. She didn't have long to read however because almost instantly Professor Benediere walked in and started class. When it finally ended, Laura got up and quietly walked over to Care of Magical Creatures. The lesson had made her forget about Viktorya, and as a result, calm down so she was no longer angry. She knew that Viktorya was still there however, and she needed to remove herself from the situation. Hopefully the girl wouldn't sit up front again, but if she was after Harvey, then Laura just might be stuck with her since Harvey was her best friend. More like only friend.

Colt Shevington Colt walked into the greenhouse, sans Sam, since he had had to go to the restroom before class. Colt grabbed a seat at one of the tables in the middle of the room and took out his textbook, already feeling slightly drained from Charms. Going into his sixth year, he knew that work would get much tougher, but Professor Travis's packet scared him slightly as to just how tough things would get. His O.W.L.s had been very good (all O's, except for one E in Care of Magical Creatures), but O.W.L.s were nothing compared to the kind of work they would get at the N.E.W.T. level. Colt sat waiting for Sam or the professor to show up, hoping that he wouldn't have to sit bored for too much longer.
