These are our universal rules, and they are to be obeyed at all times.

1. Respect one another.
I don't care how annoyed you are, or how much of a jerk he is being. There will be no fighting. If you have a problem with someone, take it to PM, or contact a crew member.

2. No God-Mod.
This includes auto hit, meta game, and all those other fun things. I want good clean RP, and stunts like that ruin it for everyone.

3. Keep it clean.
I don't want to see anything posted anywhere that is offensive by it's very nature. This means no pornographic pictures, no cybering, no racism, no sexism, no religious attacks. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, and their own beliefs. I don't want to see anyone attacking others for what they think.

More rules may be added if needed, but I do hope the need does not arise.

Now then, for all you elemental masters out there.

You may have heard of the law of conservation of matter and energy. You may not have. This law states, quite basically, that you cannot create something from nothing. An earth bender cannot make dirt in midair, and an air bender cannot make air underwater. There are exceptions, such as a water bender extracting water from the air, but such things can only be done in very small amounts. You cannot form a tsunami using the water in the air.

You may feel the desire, or even the need, to counter an attack by taking it over for yourself. Believe it or not, there are rules of physics on this. I may have made them up in my spare time, but they are still rules, and should be kept in mind at all times.

In every bending move, there is some level of energy from the person who created it. If this energy is within the move, it cannot be controlled by another bender. This does not mean all attacks are immune to take over however. A stronger bender can disperse the energy, causing the attack to fall apart. And in other cases, the attack may be running itself. Fire and forget so to say.

An attack such as a large wave, or throwing a boulder, is done in one move, and left behind. It goes on it's way with no further control from it's creator. These attacks can be taken over, because there is no longer any control exerted over them.

Other attacks, such as forming fire or water into a whip, are constantly controlled. These attacks cannot be taken over. If the bender is distracted, and his concentration breaks however, the move is no longer controlled, and can be taken over.

Even a controlled attack, if it gets too far away from the original bender, is susceptible to take over. It is hard to control something from a great distance, and if your attack strays beyond your reach, it may fall apart on it's own, or be taken over by your opponent, if they are closer to it than you.

In some cases two benders will work together to make a combined move, this is possible because they are accepting the others influence. If the two end up trying to do two different things, the move will collapse, and possibly backfire.

Now, as we all know, there are several sub elements. You can't use them. Even a master bender would have a hard time controlling these sub elements. If you want to control a sub element, you must first reach a high level in both RP skill and control of your element. Only then can you begin to learn a sub element.
