Hello, my name is Chris Powell and I'm here to offer you an amazing opportunity. How would you like to win a letter for very little work? All you have to do is answer my little trivia questions. There will be five categories which are:
-Entertainment (may include books too) -Science -History -Geography -Powell's Potpourri (random things that interest me...PICK AT YOUR RISK)
Every day I will ask at least two questions and the first correct answer will net you one point. Then you get to pick the category of your choice for the next question. The contest will run until the end of the month. Whoever wins will get a letter for that month. I will try and do this every month so we always have a contest going all the time in case we don't have an event going on. No sign ups are needed. Drop in and answer at your leisure, I'll keep track of the score.
So I'll get the ball rolling with the first question. Nothing interests me like Star Wars(this would be a Potpourri type question) so tell me this:
In the first draft of A New Hope, what was the original name of the character that became Luke Skywalker?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anyway....we have new categories and I'm trying to make them more relevant to what's going on in the US....cause that's where I live. Suck it, Liechtenstein!
So the new July categories are:
1) America, ******** Yeah! EDITED: This will now have to do with American history, geography, and government.
2) The Civil War because it's the 150th anniversary of the outbreak of the war this year.
3) Harry Potter due to the last movie being released.
4) The 80's...I grew up during them and they are awesome.
5) Powell's Potpourri

Luke, unless you're referring to the earliest version that they were banding about female and male versions of. I don't know what the female first name would have been. Luka?

You're not limited to one guess tho. EDIT: BTW when I say first draft it technically would be the rough draft.

I know it was Luke Starkiller in the shooting script, but I think it was originally Anakin Starkiller.

Nick Joseph Fury I know it was Luke Starkiller in the shooting script, but I think it was originally Anakin Starkiller. Nick gets a point. I was actually spelled Annikin but close enough. Pick a category, Nick.

You know what makes humans different from other animals? We are the only animals that observe Shark Week. Sharks don't even observe Shark Week.
I'm thinking bull shark, but I'm not completely sure.
