Some students follow the rules and go above and beyond on their studies. Other students slack off and goof off, disrupting the flow of classes and decreasing the learning that goes on in classrooms. Those that are good students that set an example should be rewarded and bad students should be punished. Obviously detentions can be given to individuals as other individual punishments. However, if a student doesn’t care about what they’re doing to themselves, they may ignore such punishments. This is where House Points come in. They are counted by house and totaled at the end of each year. The house with the most points at the end of the year receives the House Cup, an award that is not easily won. Thus, wrongdoers can be deterred from bad deeds because they lose their entire house points, garnering anger from everyone else, not just getting in trouble for themselves.
There are two different methods of house points in Little Hogwarts. There are two sets of House points, one set will be counted for roleplay characters and one set will be for the roleplayers. That way, characters have their own house points for the roleplay where they gain points for being on time, answering questions, and being good students. Characters lose points for mouthing off in class, etc. Any teacher for any subject can take away points. In addition, roleplayers will gain House Points for posting consistently, helping with the guild, doing Weekly Quizzes, etc. They also get to choose their own house, despite what house their roleplay character is in. Roleplayers lose points for breaking rules that are listed in the rules and in rules of literacy. Moderators of the guild that find anyone in violation of the rules have the right to take points away. The totals will be added at the end of the year to gain the House Cup. While we don’t have incentives for houses to win, it would be best to go for the gold and promote team spirit! After all, you never know if incentives can pop up like a little present here or there for the winners.
Considering we are revamping the guild, I would like to ask everyone that is roleplaying to PM me with what House you as a roleplayer want to be in. This way I can sort and make sure that I have all of you down. I will gain the list of characters from the characters subforum.
House Points will be kept track of in each common room. In addition, totals of characters for all houses will be placed in Classrooms. Totals of roleplayers will be placed in The Dueling Club subforum.

The forms for giving and taking house points is the same for both Characters and Role Players. You will find a running data of house points for both in the given Common Room Subforum, along with a detention list. There will also be a Post with all houses, though they will be in two separate spots. Characters will be found in the Classrooms Subforum, while those for the role players will be found in the Dueling Club Subforum. Form For Giving House Points
