Back in the day, I took part in an add-a-chapter story board. And on the way to Japan, my friends and I wrote a story, each of us writing one sentence at a time. I thought it would be fun to write a story in Japanese piecemeal like that! You can make your part as long as short, as complicated or simple as you'd like. Just put Romaji and put in white the English translation.
"Nai! Otoshichatta ka na?" to yuki ha iimashita.
"Nani wo?" to hiroko ha henjishimashita.
"Okaasan ni moratta taisetsuna mono yo. Mitsukenai to..." Yuki no shinpai ha kao ni akirakani miemashita.
"Ochitsuitene. Watashi mo issho ni sagasu kara."
Futari ha dekakemashita.
"It's gone! Did I drop it somewhere?" Yuki said.
"What?" Hiroko replied.
"The keepsake I got from Mom. If I don't find it..." Yuki's worry was plainly visible on his face.
"Calm down. I'll search for it with you, after all."
The two of them left.
...What do you guys think? Good prompt?
