jean nodded at scott before leaving the infirmary and heading over to hanks lab. putting on a labcoat as she walked, she entered quickly knowing that scott would be behind her " what have you found hank? we would have been down sooner but mina came to visit elaise again."

"It is not a good idea to ever attempt using this 'booster'; it has chemicals that alone or in combination, would be lethal. Within the brain fluid that was extracted, I do not wish to know what kind of effects it would have on any user of it. From what I can tell, there are opiates added to make it addictive, likely to control the users of this serum so they follow the commands of the holder of the serum," Hank said, shaking his head slightly. His tone held faint surprise at the serum, but it was obvious he was disgusted at how it was made. Scott exhaled. Disgusting both morally and ethically, he thought. Anyone who uses this stuff could well die from use, for all we know, he muttered mentally.

jean glanced at scott and nodded after hearing his thoughts " i agree we need to find the rest of them before they're used by anyone. i wonder what information mina found out." she said softly referring to the book that logan now had.

Scott nodded slightly. "What do you think Richard and that girl are up to?" he said softly. Knowing Logan, he likely wasn't going to mention too much useful information to them unless he'd checked it out personally.

" i'l see you later then hank." jean said smiling at him warmly before leaving the lab after scott. " i wonder what happened to richard and the girl." she muttered as she took her lab coat off and hung it on the hook outside the lab before walking to the infirmary.

Scott shrugged. "I don't know, but perhaps.... where's Warren anyway? He was supposed to get back earlier today," he said quietly, his tone thoughful. If Warren is with them, either they're safe or they may have found something they didn't expect, he thought. He suspected both were correct, oddly.(Next post here)

jean looked back at scott when he spoke " i have a feeling that he is with them." she said softly asa she walked down the corridor heading to the nearby infirmary, she coulkd hear elaise's thoughts and was slightly disturbed by them.

Hank strode back in, sighing softly. "Sodium bicarbonate, sulfuric acid, and potassium nitrate were just a few of the chemicals I discovered in the serum along with a very strong opiate, Thebaine," he said to Jean; he knew she wouldn't like the idea of those chemicals in someone's body.

jean shuddered slightly at the combination of different chemicals. " it's a surprise that it didn't have an effect on her earlier. her healing rate seems to have increased as well for some reason." she said softly moving further into the lab.

Hank half smiled. "Fortunately, it is simple to negate the sodium bicarbonate and potassium nitrate, I have the negating chemicals here; sulfuric acid and Thebaine, however.. I don't have the negation chemicals for those," Hank said. "It is always possible that they actually might negate one another, however," he said softly.

Hank nodded. He pulled down a small vial of colorless liquid marked with a chemical signature, H2SO4, then a second with a white powder that read C19H21NO3. "This is the sulfuric acid," he said, tilting the vial with the liquid. "This is the Thebaine," he said, tilting the other. "A few grams/milliliters of each should be sufficient," he said. He blended the two together and was slightly surprised to find he had powdered oxygen and a touch of sulfur dioxide gas that wafted away within seconds. "Interesting reaction," he murmured thoughtfully.
