This is the northern border between Rome and the Gauls. There alot of confrontations here, and lots of barbarian immigrants are trying to enter Rome, but blocked by her armies.

On the border north of Populonia, a pair of roman soldiers standing guard at a border fort suddenly beheld a strange sight: a giant of a woman, quite clearly a gaul, mounted on a massive horse, a shining spear held in her arm, rode into view of the fort, her green eyes baring down upon the stronghold in her way south. "Hey Armenius, what do you make of this?" one said to the other. "Bah. Don't worry about that one." The other muttered. "She's right on time. Just watch."
The tall woman rode her horse in a circle and thrust her spear skyward. "Rhyfelwyr! Byddwch yn barod!" She screamed as she completed the first in several loops and thrust her spear.
"What in Hades realm?" The younger solder asked, scratching his head beneath his helmet. "Yeah. Every day at this time for the past week she's ridden up here, looped three times around screaming her head off, and then rode away. I think she's trying to please her pagan gods or something stupid." Armenius explained.
"Rhyfelwyr! Byddwch yn barod!" She screamed again as she finished another circle.
"Should we go and get her or chase her off or something?" The other Roman asked. "Not worth it. She might be trying to lure us into an ambush." Armenius said, leaning on his pilum. "Just let her wear herself out."
On the third loop, she shouted her cry once more and thrust her spear. "Rhyfelwyr! Byddwch yn barod!"
And then a thunderous cry, thousands of voices all in unison, shouted back. "Rydym yn barod!"
The Romans' eyes widdened, they felt their knees quake at the earth shaking sound of an army of bloodthirsty Gallic warriors answering their queen. They emerged from cover, forming long, thick ranks and formations, screaming and chanting and beating their shields as the woman rode along her army's length, rallying them and psyching them up for the victory to come.
"Dinistrio nhw i gyd!" Caelanarix Screamed as her horse loped along the ranks of men, some naked and some wearing fine chain, all painted and bearing decorated torcs and bands of gold and silver.
"Byddant yn marw!"
The Romans were terrified. They had at most a century of hastatii, just 60 men to repel this force. They had no hope.
Armenius grabbed the other roman by his shirt. "Go! mount up and ride for Populonia! Tell them of this! Rome mu-"
Suddenly, an arrow from a Gallic bowman found the man's eye, piercing his brain. The dead Armenius fell out of his station and landed outside the wall of the fort, to the tunic soiling terror of his compatriot. Down below, the Centurion of this unit was screaming out orders to his shaken and terrified men, attempting to obtain some order.
It was too late. "AA-BUUU!!!" Roared the Gallic army as they began to advance at a swift trot towards the terrified fort.

The Roman Garrison was slaughtered without a single Gaul lost. There were wounded of course but Druidic medicine would heal them up soon enough. The heads were stacked in a pyramid pile before an Oak Tree, an offering of gratitude to Belatu-Cadros, the god of War. Like ghosts, the Gauls vanished into the forests, swiftly moving south to prepare an assault upon Populonia.

∙ホ⁂※⊂яìşđεдп※⁂ホ∙ Crisdean slowed his horse to a slow trot, He was tired from the long days ride from Antium. "Stop here Artair."He spoke softly to the horse. the horse stopped near a small Brook that rippled threw the forest. Crisdean dismounted from his horse and started to remove its tac and place it on the ground making camp for the night. Crisdean set ablaze a small fire that flickered and burned well considering the wet ground.
