So, because I'm a colossal nerd, I just watched Star Trek: First Contact for the upteenth time. Near the end, as the character Zephram Cochran, the inventor of Warp Speed Travel and therefore the reason Starfleet exists is making his first manned launch of a ship with a Warp Engine. During the launch, he decides he needs a soundtrack, and so 'Magic Carpet Ride' by Steppenwolf begins blaring through the speakers.

It was right about now that a thought hit me. If I was in Cochran's place, the pilot of the first Human made vehicle to travel faster than light, what would my soundtrack have? Or would I play any music at all?
