Alexis walked along a shoreline, a cigarette in her hand/hoof and putting it to her lips. Water rushed over and swirled around her feet, providing a cool feeling and a chill rushing down her spine. She'd rolled her pants up and was carrying her boots.
It was broad daylight so the sun shone down on her. She didn't have the same sensitivity that her mother did, thanks to her succubus like father. With the cigarette hand,she pushed her hair out the way of her face...

The daylight had come upon the swordsman without warning, burning his sensitive eyes with a pain almost akin to that of his sisters four headed snake whip. On lithe hooves the large pony had rushed into the safety of a cave. Unfortunately the cave was situated so that as the sun rose higher it shone into its depths. Feeling pathetic and weak the pony shifted further into the depths of the cave, willing his dark blue bulk to meld with the shadows and wishing not for the first time that he had the gift of his sisters, though of course such a thing was never given to the males of his race.

Alexis simply needed enough time to relax her brain. She spent so much time on the beach, just walking along that she'd lost track of time and it was twilight bordering the time for darkness to cover.
Now the sand was cold and she was sitting on the boulder, trying to tug her boots back on.

Finally that cursed ball of flame was settling and soon he could leave. He had wandered away from the stronghold on orders from his matron. "Find a suitable female! You are a strong male, don't be stupid and waste the blood of that damned dragon that fathered you! Increase our numbers" she had screamed brandishing her whip. The anger in her voice had greatly, but not completely, tempered the veiled compliment she had given him. he as currently the top ranked male amongst the drow, or at least he had been until his status was challenged by his cousins gift of female children to the herd. Even the dark lord himself had taken a shine to one of his nieces, she being perfect in drop coloring and temperament. Mektar now had to prove his worth with the sword and the ability to bring daughters to the herd.
With narrowed eyes he creeps from the cave looking blearily into the blinding twilight.

Finished with her boots, she dusted sand off the toes and sat there, retrieving a lighter and a cig and lighting it.
((*dies* small lunch breaks are evil for coming up with good postings sad ))

to his sensitive eyes ever the dull flicker of the lighter seemed blinding. Why would someone willingly bring light in the glorious dark . He thought to himself, turning his red eyes way from the glow. Even the moonlight bouncing off the water was near blinding. Damn its fullness! I must get away from the ocean and its damned light on silent hoofs the dark pony with silvery hair and armor slunk down the cliff towards the beach, with no worries for whoever had light the lighter. He was a powerful swordsman and one pony did not frighten him.

Alexis drew a puff as her sensitive hearing picked up clinking armor. Moving the cig from her lips, she stared at the ocean, listening and waiting.

(All, good, it will happen)
Mektar winces as he mistakenly chinks his back bracer's together. FOOL! He had been taught as a small child that the ability to move silently was one of the most important skills to master. To give away his position with such a silly mistake was unforgivable. Paying more attention to his silent now, he moves into the deeper shadows of the trees bordering the beach, melting into them with barely a rustle.

She rolled her eyes.
"If you can't escape without even a small rustle, you need to train better."
She couldn't sneak any better, but she knew others who could....but then, her strengths didn't rely on weaponry made of steel.

"It's not my fault you're not quieter." She retorted, pulling her hair away from her face. She pulled a fresh smoke from her pack and placed in her ear, pondering if she wanted another cig or not.

He rolls one dark red eye towards the ground "I didn't say it was, I simply said I should have just killed you instead of having this pointless conversation. " He lowers his voice to a mutter "not that I'm not still tempted"
