Mekin smiled only slightly, “Yes. But, Seth is only part of the reason why I stay here...” She returned to the table and sat down. Seth licked Kawanii's fingers playfully. “There is much of my family's research which been passed down from generation to generation. It's only in my blood to continue such research. Especially when it's showing great success with each passing year.” Mekin didn't feel like getting into too much detail. "However, there will come time in which I will find a kin whom will inherit this place. Then, I may leave and continue constructing maps...” She paused for moment. “Until then, I'm somewhat stuck here. But, unexpectedly, I made good progress without moving so far. It even surprises Seth.” The dog barked playfully upon hearing his name being said. He licked Mekin's ankle and finished the rest of his meal. “Although, technically speaking, I am alone, but I don't feel alone. I guess my work keeps me distracted from such thoughts of loneliness and whatnot.” She gave a very faint smile. Mekin stood again to removed the pot from over the stove. “It's ready.” She fixed him a big bowl. If he were similar to her father, he must eat a lot from running around place to place. Mekin served his meal with some cold water. “You can check the drills whenever you feel like doing so.” Mekin joined him shortly. Seth was resting under the table.

“Seeking...” She repeated softly. She was a bit surprised by his sudden outburst. He seemed to be enjoying her food, “Well, thank you.” She never gotten such an reaction like his before. Mekin ate silently again before answering, “Well, what my ancestors been seeking is a extensive, fresh underground water source or sources. Enough so, that it can reform this area. My earliest ancestor, Saurian, called it project Eden. If it's found, the humans in this area can give back to the earth. Growing plantations and such. The fear is that, the water will be use recklessly or even controlled, horded by a powerful gangs and whatnot. Being the only massive freshwater source, it can easily be extorted by anyone of bad intent. However,” she took another bite of her stew, “I'm tired of seeing people suffering. Which is why, I started drilling smaller fresh water sources nearest to developing civilizations. Mostly as a test...” She stood from the table and went into the study. There were petite, metal cubicles carrying rolls of maps and files full of notes. They were dated, labeled and some even stamped. “Originally, my ancestors were merely map makers and journalist. From there, they became more involved in mining, along with the health of the planet and of its creatures.” She took out two maps. “This building, although found many years ago, was originally only two stories high. My family began adding floors. Eventually, we became divided. There is the mechanist/builders, miners, and explorers group. The others being astrologist, map makers, and writers. Mostly journalist than anything else. My family formed different stations in different continents. Each place having their own challenges. My area's challenge being the lack of fresh water, massive gang wars, and bandits. There's no one willing to enforce laws. Mostly because this form of government, that is currently in place, is a very weak one.”
She returned to the table and opened the two maps, "Three years ago...” She pointed at five cities. “I found a fresh, underground water source for these cities.” She pointed at the other map, “This one is very recent; an reflection of the cities' progress.” To be noticed were three cities circled in red. “The ones circled in red, have failed. They were unable to control thieves and regulate gang wars. The citizens were placed in a very fearful position. While under the control of this particular gang, they extorted the water and it simply dried out. Once their resources were gone, the gang abandoned the city to worsen.” Mekin frowned. “The ones not circled...” She took a moment to drink some water, “Managed to build a strong protective force. Their people became educated in water conservation and recycling. They learned to not only take, but to also give. Their current government is a direct democracy. Thus, making it nearly impossible for bandits to take control and gang wars to erupt. Everyone is closely together due the conditions of their government. Especially with safety.” She sighed, “But, what bothers me the most is that only two of five cities managed to survive and were willing to learn. The odds are still too low. In my opinion that is.” Mekin finished her meal and water. "This something I usually wouldn't tell anyone for obvious reasons." She was expressionless.

“Mellow Springs is not a city in which I'm studying because it is just an offspring of one of the major cities. Their irrigation system connects with that of the mother city. Think of it as a colony. Also, Mellow Springs, is fairly new. I've heard new of their success. I never said renew the world, only most of this continent. It will be impossible for it to save the entire earth. But, it's just our way of providing some hope. Our most important objective is to move people into creating their own Eden instead of waiting to die and doing nothing to earn it, as you stated before. An Representative Democracy runs a higher risk of corruption than an Direct Democracy, speaking from recent studies. Either way, every form of government will have their faults. The trick has always been to choose which has the least faults and the most benefits. If it's an option. There will always be corrupt people, but with education and good instinct, such a threat can be easily avoided; in some cases, fought against. Sadly, most of the worlds literature been destroyed many years ago and educators are lacking. Though, I'm glad to see many new writers surfacing little by little during the last two years. Yes, even when these main cities are successful, I know they do make it difficult for outsiders to obtain water by overpricing it. This is understandable and it is one of my concerns. However, all I do is drill and observe. However they use their water depends on them. Still, I'm impressed with their progress. I have another updated map, this map only notes the cities in which I'm studying, nothing more. There are thousands of maps created here and stored here for many reasons, of course. My family are very activate people. There are times when my brother will visit. Though, I see him once every two to three years.” She sighed again.

Seth began lightly chewing on Mekin's combat boot. “I highly doubt there's an Eden out there. Maybe in the afterlife. But, I feel the only way there will be an Eden is if humans take the time to help create one.” She gave him a faint smile. “Hmm, there is some greenery further north. However, Leonardo is a farmer and breaks his back to keep that land fertile. Even in such harsh conditions. Maybe the climate of the north changed somewhat compared to the south. It's been awhile since I've traveled up north willingly.” She playfully wiggled her foot. Seth made a soft, friendly growl. "Yeah, it's a nice dream. Do you...dream often?” Mekin crossed her legs. She didn't really dream. Her mind was always blank when she slept. Then again, she trained herself to be a light sleeper. “How often do you dream?” The closest thing to dreaming that Mekin ever got is being lost in her thoughts; reviewing many theories and rumors.

"Yes, everything arrived on time." There was a small pause. "No the movers did not steal or break anything." Another pause was made as the young woman waited for the person on the opposite side of the receiver to finish. "It went well. Everything arrived without as much as a scratch. The home has been repainted and polished as if it were brand new. I have tipped them for the generous services. I do believe I have answered all of your questions, Luke." As the lady waited for the man to finish his ramble she took her time to examine her new home for the millionth time that morning.
It still smelled of fresh paint and wood floor polish. In her spacious living room her furniture and other decor were laid out to her mother's specifications. Though the protective wrapping had yet to be removed. Her short white heels clapped against the hard wood floors as she made her way to the kitchen. She passed a hallway mirror and stopped to access her look on this sunny morning. She had been up since dawn, monitoring the men downstairs as they pieced together the new interior of her new house. Her face showed no signs of her early rise. Her vivid icy gaze was as fierce as ever even though she wished she could tone it down a bit. A white hair band with a delicate aqua colored bow kept her hair back. Then her hair cascaded in chocolate waved onto her shoulders.
"Ms. Aleece?"
"Yes Luke. I apologize for my delay, I got distracted."
"Of course." A hard robotic voice spoke through her small phone. "I will relay the message of your safe arrival to your parents. Do you have any other comments you wish to pass on."
"Tell them thanks and congratulate my brother once more, that is all. Thank you Luke."
"You're Welcome, My Lady. Farewell."
Her dainty hands flipped the phone and quickly ended the call. She examined her manicure for a moment and continued on her own personal tour of her home. Or should she say her father's home. Seeing as it was his when he was still young. But that is a history lesson for another time. Aleece stepped into her kitchen and noticed her barren cupboards and fridge.
"I need some groceries." She mused to herself quietly. She turned on her heels and grabbed her pocket book. It contains her car keys and a few credit cards her loving parents had thrust upon her. With some difficulty her white heels walked down the cobble stone path that led to her silver Miata. Before she started the car she looked at a small map that Luke had gotten her so she wouldn't find herself getting lost in her new habitat. After memorizing the way to the market she sped off.

Mostly fantasy or adventure kinds of things, things that involve powers or fighting or things like that. That being said I'm pretty much up for trying anything once and I'm trying new genres every once in a while so as such haven't really got a definitive favorite genre. Really I just enjoy RPing.
Most Disliked Genres:
Not really sure, I don't think I've ever really been in an RP that I didn't like so I'm not entirely sure. I try and avoid RPing in any genre I don't know a whole lot about though but that's more to avoid doing badly than dislike of the genre.

Gah… what is that light? My eyes fluttered open, the light seeping through my cracked-open eyelids. Morning already? It seems like I just fell asleep… I sat up in the center of the town square, which is where I had picked to fall asleep, rubbing my eyes. I was usually a morning person, because it meant that I’d lived to see another day. Today, not only did I live to see another day, I lived to see a brand new year. So why wasn’t I chipper and happy?
I took my old, ratty blanket and pulled it over myself, lying back down on the ground, trying desperately to fall asleep. The sun wouldn’t allow me to even try, as it seemed to glow ever brighter against the insides of my eyelids when I did. Giving up, I decided to do my morning routine, which was to bathe in the river and have my breakfast someplace scenic, but not dirty, like the vineyard or the orchard. I had some bread, cheese and grapes in my satchel that I’d pilfered the day before, and I intended on making it last, so I’d only be able to have some of it, but it worked. It was also more than I usually had. Maybe that was a good omen of what was to come. Starting off the year with a satchel full of food… that’s a good sign.
The best part was, I had a bottle of whiskey that would last me a good few days. That is, unless I was greedy and decided to go overboard, which I usually did. But it was so good that I could never hold onto it! I chuckled at this thought and stood up, stuffing my blanket into my bag, but making sure not to harm the food. Ugh, but the river is so far away, I thought sullenly, and I don’t wanna walk... Maybe if I didn‘t bathe, just for today… no. That‘s out of the question.
I began walking down the street… no, more like dragging my lazy, sandal-clad feet. I ran a hand through my messy hair. Today’s gonna be a long day…

Ada groaned as she got out of her bed later into the evening time. She hadn’t realized she’d been asleep for so long. Its so rare that she does sleep this late that she forgot what year and date she was in. She sat up in her soft plush bed and pushed off her spring covers, revealing Ada in her pajama tank and matching shorts. Living alone means that she could sleep in and do as she pleased because there was no one to wake her or cook for (Even if she could cook for others.) As she got out of her bed she yawned and stretched and went to the bathroom for her morning routine of brushing her teeth and hair and using the bathroom if she had to.
She was off from her job today, which is rare because the candy shop is open almost everyday except holidays. Lucky for her that today was a holiday. The place barely has enough workers and she stuck working with a lot of things in the shop especially when the boss isn’t around. After she came out of the bathroom she decided that she wanted to go to the celebration for the new year. Although she was going to be alone, she wasn’t afraid to go and was more then likely to make friends while at the celebration. She put on her favorite pink top and a brown jean skirt, with a red belt and decided to just leave that way. She looked at her clock and saw that it was already past 4 pm so she ran out her studio after slipping on a pair of sandals and walked her way down to the town square. Today she was sure she would meet and greet as much people as possible.
