When the Earth becomes overpopulated, and food shortages are commonplace, a new frontier must be discovered. And it is. The remedy to overpopulation is found in the life-supporting planet of Tanus. Years after the discovery of water and plant-life, the ship, Elysium, sets out. Like an ark, it carries multitudes of people from all over the world, each confined in cryogenic tubes to sleep through their voyage to the new planet.
