Chapter One: Use the Force Luke
The Terran Confederacy has been at war for years. It seemed that ever since the colonists took refuge in space war, civil war and strife was never far behind. First there was the conflict between the colonies starting the Guild War, then there was the rebellion of Korhal and now a strange alien life seems to have iinfested Confederate space killing indiscriminately as they scourge the planets. It seems that from every direction mankind was coming under attack.
Fortunately resilience and adaptability are among some of humanities better traits and combined with tactical prowess and technological might the Confederacy has managed to hold on to the fringe worlds against numerous odds. However War, War never changes but it changes things around us.
The Sons of Korhal, Led by Arcturus Mengsk seeks to purse the Korhal rebellion and overthrowing the Confederacy inorder establishing a new rule over the Terran Sector. With ground forces spread thin to contain this uprising the outer rim planet defenses are being diverted to provide relief in hunting down these rebels. As a result the outer rims defensive grids have fallen silent and there have been several reported cases of a new strain of alien life nicknamed "the xenomorphs" slipping into the Terran Sector. No official word from the Confederate forces has been released on this matter. Furthermore reports of a "xenomorph" invasion have been downplayed despite scattered reports of the infestation approaching the Sara System in the outer rim regions. Amidst these fears there are also rumors of a powerful and advanced telepathic alien race called The Protoss, has increased patrols along the Terrain-Protoss border conducting unknown scouting activity within the sector. During humanities history in the Terran Sector, the Confederacy and the Protoss have enjoyed an uneasy truce. A few skirmishes have broken out before but neither side seems willing to declare all out war on each other.
The Protoss more content with leaving humanity to it's wasteful ways and the Terrans wish no quarrel with a powerful foe, at least not while a civil crisis is on hand.
During such turbulent times bloodshed is an everyday occurrence be it on the frontlines or at the home front; war consumes everything. Yet despite everything; humanity survives, against all odd. Against insurmountable firepower and unrelenting opposition, the Terran armada stands strong. Much of this success is due to the champions of the Terran war machine, the men and women of the various squadrons that lay their life on the lines for humanity and its survival and amongst them.
To the Terran survival is not just an option and its not enough.
