Rome is a rapidly growing city, and many immigrants from the rural areas of Italy are coming here for work. Places that can be found here: mostly every store, a gladiator arena, the senate forums, the estates of extremely rich Romans, temples to every god and most things connected with the average large city.

"Senators!" Cried out Consul Tiberius. "we are faced with war" a murmur of excited chatting come from the senators. The Consul held up his hand for silence "The Samnites and there allies have been raiding our farms on the border for along time, we all know that" The consul turned his back to the Senate, and waked over to a window. "but we have just received a message they have killed the governor of Capua and raided the village he was visiting". shout of anger and protest came from the Senate now, the consul raised his hand again now facing the Senate. "I know your anger and disbelief you feel that the Samnites have dared to do this, and I share that. That is why a diplomat has been sent to there capital, demanding there surrender of their lands to the Roman republic, of course they will refuse" Said Tiberius while he is pacing about. "we must prepare Rome for war! gather your forces together and be ready to fight, Flavius Brutus!" Flavius stood up " here!" The consul eye him sternly then relaxed his look "I want you to get your army formed quickly as possible, and get there fast so they can hold the border, before the Samnites launch any large attacks" Flavius saluted the consul"It will be done!"
"That is all then dismissed!" The senators walked out the forum, chatting excitedly. Finally a military campaign and can gain my rightful glory from! Thought Flavius

Clad in heavy armor,Antonius Lucinius Arcinas patrolled the streets of Rome,making sure to keep the peace.His helmet was at his side,supported by his left hand.The Spatha longsword hung from the left side of his belt,while the dagger remained on the right side.The commotion of the street was ever so lively.Kids ran about,playing ball with each other or running with fake sticks,pretending to be sword fighting.Antonius smiled and kept walking,entering one of the busiest places in Rome,the marketplace.The smell of fresh produce filled the air,mixed with the bickering of customers and shop keepers.Antonius coughed from the dirt that was kicked up in the air.He exited the marketplace,and headed for the city gates,to check on things there.For the past few days,he had been looking forward to a military expedition soon enough.Though his patience was still long and hard to break,his eagerness always made him anxious.Antonius looked up,the heat rained merciless rays down on the great city of Rome.He grunted,and set his helmet on his head,hoping to at least block some of it.Antonius saw the gates up ahead,he saw some of the men guarding with the utmost discipline."Salve,amici."The guards looked up and returned his greeting with a friendly gesture."Still the same Antonius.Things have been unfolding,no?"one of them said.Antonius nodded with agreement."And that's what I'm exactly looking for."The guards laughed."Of course my friend.Your always looking for some enemies to punch."the said.Antonius laughed,and waved his goodbye."Thats not true,friend.Sometimes you must hit them alot.But,hopefully this will be solved.I'm sure the council is discussing this matter as we speak.Until then."With that,he waved goodbye once more and returned to patrolling the streets.

Flavius arrived in his personal barracks where he could see his troops drilling a training. "prefect Cassius!" Sam shouted when he entered the Prefects office. The prefect stood up and saluted him when he entered "yes sir!". Sam sat down at the chair opposite him and got some wine, from the slave girl in the corner and sipped it. "As you were, now do you think the men are ready for a campaign" The prefect thought for a moment " I think is they keep this positive attitude I think their capable, why? May I ask, do you ask this sir?" Flavius stood up and looked out the window down onto the drilling square "The senate has declare war on the Samnites, and we are to be the first to arrive at the border" Cassius was stunned "are you serious Sir, well if we wanted to do we can be on the road marching in the next week! We just need to collect our supplies together, and call the for the ones on leave". Flavius was impressed "Good, good! now get started, if any one needs me I'm in my quarters. "Of course sir" Cassius saluted Flavius, as did he, Flavius then finished his wine and went to his room to think.

Flavius rested in his private quarters for a few hours, after reading octavius's letter and sending his reply went through his other letters. Most were complaints from the plebeians in the city, which he mostly ignored, accept for one as it gave a reward. until he read one from Antium, revealing of the antics of prefect Aeneas. Flavius read and saw the amount of troops he was recruiting, and he rushed to the senate Forum. He found Tiberius in his forum office. "Tiberius I'm sorry for rushing on you like this, you must read this" Tiberius looked up from his desk and took the opened letter. After watching his Face Flavius saw the shock and surprise "that many troops and he could threaten the senate". Flavius nodded " we don't know who he is either how can we trust. We should bring him here and weaken his power, and send a more loyal prefect there who we now we can trust". Tiberius nodded vigorously "ofcourse" he wrote the letter demanding Aeneas to return to Rome, and gave it to a republic messenger . "Thank you for showing me this you are a loyal Senator to the republic" Flavius smiled and then turned and walked back to his estate

 [/img] Aeneas18 Aeneas stopped his personal gaurd at the river Rubicon ."I will ride alone from here no army can enter Rome".Aeneas continued riding toward Rome until he got to a inn when he got there he took his horse to the stables then sent a letter to the senate requesting to meet with them and waited until someone came to get him.

After a period of six hours, Four Triarii, the sun glinting off their round shields and Bronze cuirasses, aproached Aeneas.
"My lord," Their leader announced, "The Senate will speak with you now, but their time is limited. Follow us."

Its about time dont worry ill make my speech quick I have important business in Antium".Aeneas then walked with the soldiears towards the senate all the time thinking how he would address them.He had to make them reliase what was going on he had too there was no other option well there was Aeneas was known for always having a plan.

The Senate hall was abuzz with Magistrates and Consuls discussing the days events as Aeneas was led before them. The conversations died down as the Chief Magistrate looked upon Aeneas.
"Soldier of the Republic, we had received your letter. Fortunately for you, the Senate was meeting today and we have time to hear your request. Make it brief, for we have many concerns to deal with at this time."

Aeneas18 "Senators I have come to tell you of a insult that has been paid to not only Rome but the Emperor himself As you know I have been docked in the city of Antium the past couple of days building ships.A couple of days ago a pirate ship attacked and destroyed those ships.Roman ships We as Romans can not let this go unanswered if word got out that Rome did not care about what others did to use we would lose our standing in this world if you call yourselves true Romans loyal to Rome and the Emperor then you will hear and grant my proposition.You will give me permission to deal with this threat in whatever way I see fit and you will not hinder me in any way and give me your full support also I request that you send a armada of ships to protect the city of Antium that is my request if we do not protect are citys we will not prospere we will not get the trade we need nor the taxes.So how do you answer me will you be loyal to Rome and the Emperor or not.

The sentaors all looked icily at the General, no one in the chamber enjoying being considered a traitor by a man with no name and no title.
"Soldier, who is this "Caesar" you speak of, the Chief Magistrate asked. "And how dare you question OUR loyalty to Rome. We are the very voice of Rome, the voice of its people! Our constituents send their sons to fight in your armies and you can not even keep a single town. The people of Rome are not amused. And if we DO send a fleet of ships to protect Antium, who are we protecting them from? Who has insulted us? From what I and the rest of the Senate can see, this is a desperate power grab by an Incompenant man who might very well become a new Tyrant with the power we would grant him. What say you to this?"
((Caesar hasn't even been born yet, BTW. This is a Republic. Not an Empire.))

Aeneas18 Aeneas sighed and shook his head then turned and addressed the senate again ."The senate seems to have forgoten who I am so ill remind them I am Aeneas son of Mars[note this is not the god my fatehr was named after him im not a demigod or anything like that]my father served Rome as one of her greatest generals he has retired now and I took up his mantle I served under Rome for years until I worked my way up to the rank of general just like my father.You speak of being for the people but your inactions have caused many deaths of Roman citizens Roman citizens who could have been saved if a propere gaurd had been placed there I was just there building ships so agian if you care like you say you do for Roman citizens you will grant my request".
