What did you guys think about Dante's Inferno. It was said to be the game that was exactly like the God of War series gameplay but different stories, many people really didn't like it for those exact reasons because they felt like it copied too much the game.
I want You guys Opinion on the matter the game got rated a 7 by GI and By users an 8.
The Concept:Tap a classic poem for the story and a standout series for the gameplay.
Graphics:The character models are rough, but some circles of hell look impressive.
Sound:The orchestral soundtrack serves the story well.
Playability:The combat is God of War from beginning to end, which isn’t a bad thing.
Entertainment:Beneath the repetition and unoriginal gameplay, there’s a solid title.
Replay:Moderate.

i get gameinformer to and i think it copies GOW to much but i would still play it

Yeah I think they should have came up with another way of play the game as far as the gameplay is involved they seemed not to really care for the graphics either which is a key opponent in making a game.

I agree with you guys in 100%. The game is fairly good, yet the similarity between it and GOW is a bit disappointing. I believe they should have taken a different approach for the gameplay, because it would score more individuality points if they had done so.

I did really like Dante’s Inferno but it annoys me how it gets compeered to God of War all the time, the 2 are quite different in a lot of ways, while myself and a mate of mine were playing it I told him to stop thinking of it as GOW and he might start to enjoy it more, sure enough he saw it in another light, he saw it as Dante’s Inferno not GOW.

Akasha_Ishtar I did really like Dante’s Inferno but it annoys me how it gets compeered to God of War all the time, the 2 are quite different in a lot of ways, while myself and a mate of mine were playing it I told him to stop thinking of it as GOW and he might start to enjoy it more, sure enough he saw it in another light, he saw it as Dante’s Inferno not GOW. thats exactly it. i love dantes inferno. i used to hate it. the difference is that im IN LOVE with god of war. and i didnt like di because it wasnt gow. when i realised this, it was much better. still my game critique is this: at this day and age, with the technology available, there is just no excuse for an average game. and that is exactly what dantes inferno is. what is the incentive to buy games such as this, if there are games out like god of war 3, uncharted 2, modern warfare 2, or even halo? because of that, and my allegiance with santa monica studios, i would have to give it a 7/10. and thats being generous. still lucifer rocks!

Gameplay is too much alike i agree, but the story line is completely different. Kratos is fighting to kill the gods of olympus, while Dante is fighting to save his wife's soul from hell and the devil himself.

I've just recently bought Dante's Inferno. For the most part, yeah, it did copy the same game dynamics as God of War, but over all, I think it was a good game. Not too much game play, but the graphics and the settings were awesome and I think evens it out, making up for the lack of game play. Also, I think it was too easy. I give it 3/5.
