So it has to be Easter themed? It can be anything that has to do with Easter? O-o Does amigurumi count? Anything that you think of when you think of Easter. And you can make an amigurumi, but it has to be knitted!

If crochet was acceptable for part of the entry, I have several ideas for a few pieces... It's just sooo much easier to design your own patterns when working with crochet, as you can easily work a row or two and then rip it out if it isn't shaping up correctly. Of course, I'm sure I could do the same with knitting, but I'm too lazy to find something that'd work for a good lifeline, as most of my floss has powdery crap on it.

This is a knitting guild and a knitting contest, but ONLY trim/finishing touches can be crochet. (About 95% should be knit, if that's easier to understand) =D

It seems I'm yet again the first to post their entry. Below is the picture of mine. I made 2 blue bunnies, an Easter egg, and the lace-weight shawl underneath them. For a size guide on the shawl, when it is folded into quarters, it fits onto an 8 1/2" by 11" piece of paper, and is about 1 inch thick. The tail on the smaller bunny is crocheted, but the larger one's tail is knit.
Also, I started on the shawl about 2 weeks ago, and just finished it this week. I was going to place it while on the needles underneath the other pieces for contrast, but I decided to finish it quickly to add it to the entry properly, just to make sure I had the 95% knit to 5% crochet ratio present for the entry. smile

I love it! I'm still working on what I can whip up... No inspiration is striking me.. D= And the crochet/knit ratio is not required, just if you're going to use crochet in a knitting contest, keep it to a minimum! xD

I started my entry.. then ran out of the type of yarn halfway through.. xD I'll get some pics and enter it anyways!
Anyways, I'm kind of glad that I'm not making the entire pattern, we just found out that my fiance's grandmother has breast cancer (it's in the very early stage and can be removed and there is about a 5% chance of it coming back, the drs are very positive about it!) so I'm going to be knitting her a titty stress ball. So whenever she gets frustrated or stressed out about her treatments she can throw a boob around. xD

I'm so glad to see that there will possibly be more entries this time around. I tend to knit rather fast (I just finished another shawl like the one in my entry in just 3 days), so I kinda feel like putting together an entry is easier for me than some people.
(Plus, Ravelry is wonderful for getting inspiration, and I'm not bad at designing my own patterns if need be, if I do say so myself.)
I hope to get to see the other entries, but as tomorrow's my birthday, I don't expect to be on much. smile

I'm finishing up the bag they're all going in. I dont have an easter basket, so this was my response. I'll put something near the yarn for a gauge, sorta. That Way you know how much room it takes up.

Okay..so we have my few projects that occurred in budget meetings, and watching Alice in Wonderland. There's the bag, green, blue, light green, hanging on the laptop. Self striped, then color combine on the handle so its thick and sturdy. there's a green pom-pom scarf, along with a springier pink and black hat and scarf. It's just finally gotten warm this weekend. There's also a very gurimi bunny thrown in there, which my roommate fell in love with! I was trying to get an egg done as well, but OH WELL. There's always next year. <3 Everything is Cotton as well, so it wont be to hot to wear or carry.
