Two things of note.

1. An inside Xbox video clip confirming the three new maps + a rehashed Crash and Overgrown maps. Which I will definitely get.

2. An advertisement for stuff for your Xbox avatar (Which I only indulged in because I had money left over after the COD4 maps...and only for a t-shirt), teasing a new special ops mission. Hopefully it won't be me laying on a platform sniping enemies that come in single file.

Crash was one of COD4's most played maps...... I wonder if it could end up as a 'most played map' in MW2.

Probably not since playing this in a regular playlist would require all 12 players to have bought the map pack.

Unless Infinity Ward is SMART and offers "map pack" playlists like Gears of War 2 does.

not everyone has to have the map pack, if they don't have it they leave the lobby and search for a different one.

Which would make sense if Modern Warfare 2 followed Left 4 Dead's or Metal Gear online's dedicated server methodology. It does not however.

Put this hypothetical situation into thought. One player has the map pack on a full 12 person lobby. The lobby selects Crash. 11 of the players can't play it, so it kicks them out or they vote to skip it. The former starts the matchmaking process all over again and potentially indefinitely. The latter makes it impossible to play maps that I bought.

Another hypothetical situation. 7 of the 12 players in a full lobby have the map pack and a new map comes up for the next match. It's impossible to vote out the new map (if all of the 7 players want it and are adamant about it) and the other players would have to leave. And 7 players is not enough to get a game going. They could still invite someone but then the process becomes convoluted.

I hope you're wrong because otherwise I'm wasting $15.

Edit: I've also been playing Call of Duty 4 on and off and I've had the map pack since October. I have not even seen the possibility of playing the new maps on any given playlist since.
