Hello, hello! I'm Misu, and I'd like to welcome you to my snazzy little quest thread. It must've taken you a lot of work to click that link back there so, why don'cha sit down, relax, and read a bit about my future-maybe Guardian and her Princey? It'd make me really happy. Especially if you left a comment!
But, first, you could always hear a bit about me... =3 Firstly, I am a teenager. Living in the Sunshine State. Of which is also known as Florida. Meaning I represent the Eastern Time Zone. If you wanna know... Um, oh! I'm on pretty much every day. Except for Saturday, cause I have soccer games and friends and whatnot. I've been roleplaying for about four years now. Writing since, well... Forever. Ahha. So, er, yeah. I guess that's it. Peace out, girl scout!

 • Name: Mingmei Sun. • Nicknames: Mei or Ming. • Gender: Female. • Age & DOB: 28, January Ninth. • Ethnicity: Chinese-Korean. • Social Class: High Class. • Home-Country: China. • Occupation: Holographic Technician.
• Mother: Ae-Cha Sun. Deceased. • Father: Deshi Sun. Deceased. • Siblings: Dao-Ming Sun, sister. Deceased.
• History: Mingmei Sun took in her first breath on January Ninth. There were only three people in the room to see Mei for the first time. Those people being, of course, her mother - Ae-Cha Sun, her father - Deshi Sun, and her great grandmother - Chung Ae Choi. Though her great grandmother died a few days after Mei's fourth birthday, the old Korean woman had quite an impact on Mei and was probably one of Mei's favorite relatives - aside from her mother - due to the fact that Chung-Ae Choi strongly believed in both self-independence and 'never giving up'. Something that was easily passed onto Mei later in her life.
Mei's sister had been left the family a few days after Mei turned five. Claiming she wanted more adventure than having to take care of the household. Her sister at the time was around the age of seventeen and is, therefore, considered to be deceased. Though no one in the family really knows whether or not this is true.
Only a year after her great grandmother's passing-on, Deshi Sun - Mingmei's father - was drafted into the war. Having always been a very proud man he went without a tear, hugging his 'darling little bird' and pecking his wife on the cheek. This would be the last time Mei would ever see or hear from her father, except for the monthly letter both her and her mother would receive. He died a few years after being enlisted. To this day Mei still wears the small silver necklace of a bird around her neck. Something she hasn't taken off since receiving it in a letter from her father.
As she grew up, Mei had an aptitude for science. She loved everything about it and, at first, believed she would become a science professor. But after hearing of all the other students that had never seen their fathers/mothers since they had been enlisted she decided to do something different... She wanted to make communication between loved ones easier. And so, four years later when Mei was twenty, she joined the company known as Hollow as a new Scientist. Hollow at the time was small and barely making enough money but, with the invention of the Holographic Communicator commonly known as HC the company's name slowly grew until almost everyone in the world knew about it. Mei was, of course, apart of the team that managed to construct the HC and therefore received quite a bit of gold. To this day she still works at Hollow - modifying the HC as soon as possible. Working to make her little invention even better. Along with the HC, though, her company managed to create many different kinds of personal computers. Though none of those are credited to Mei's name.
A few years after the creation of the HC Mei's mother finally passed on from an invading illness that had been eating away at the now elderly woman for a year. Mei was twenty-five when her mother took in her last breath. Though Mei did try and give her mother the best medical attention possible, Ae-Cha Sun refused. Saying that she was too old to live anyways. So, she left the world altogether. Leaving Mei to make a life for herself.
Mei moved to Saltaire from China at the age of twenty-seven. Though she does still work for the company known as Hollow, she is definitely not one of the brightest minds anymore. Seeing as the generations of children that had grown up are slowly replacing her. Due to this, Mei had decided to move to Saltaire as a sort of vacation - and ended up living there.
• Personality: The first thing you'll probably notice about Mingmei is the fact that she is very independent and believes in nothing but Feminism. This is a fact of her life because she grew up with nothing but her mother and great grandmother to teach her the ways of life. Because of this, Mei can actually be rather stubborn once she has set her mind on something and most of the time refuses to ask anyone for help. She's also a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to doing things and - because of this - may come off as a bit egotistical. Though, in the end, there's just a little man in her head screaming for her to do it by herself and do it right.
If you can get past those little traits, though, you will find that Mei is actually fairly friendly and can even be social when in a good mood. She does nothing but please those close to her and can actually be fairly protective. She doesn't trust people too easily, having always been a bit introverted, but the people she does trust are people she can truly call friends without a thought in the world. One of her favorite things to do, when not working, is play the piano. Something her father taught her of before being enlisted. Though she doesn't usually play in front of people, using the piano as a sort of concert for her father rather than the living, she does have a fairly good sound and probably would have been very good if she continued with her lessons. The piano in itself is a memento that has been passed down for generations and, because of this, it is of original make. Using wood rather than chrome - as they do in these days. Mei takes pride in the fact that she owns it.

Quote: What happened to her sister? Can she be alive? Can she be an evil twin! -Jk though I am curious- Her sister left the family when Mei was only a few years old. Meaning, to both her family and Mei - she is considered deceased. Though Mei doesn't know whether or not this is true, seeing as she has seen Dao-Ming since leaving. Quote: I wanna hear more about this piano as well, does she have one in her home? Is it a retro historic type piano, or is it a newfangled techy shiny sort of thing..Is it a holographic piano! Her piano is, of course, an old fashioned piano. Wood and other handmade products. It's a piano that has been passed down through her family for generations and would've played it's last note if it weren't for the fact that Mei hired a repairman to do the job of fixing it up a bit. Though he was required to do use the original makings, ie; wood. Edited, March 31st 2010 @ 12:00PM EST - Personality & History
