I'll be making this thread, and adding in info about the pokewalker as it becomes available. Discuss different ways, besides walking, that you have found to get volts easier. Discussion on other aspects of Pokemon is allowed, just don't stray too far from the Pokewalker discussion please.

Tips and Tricks.

Now, everyone knows the pokewalker is meant to be used by, well, walking. Regardless, some don't have the time to walk that much, or are just plain lazy. Therefore, I shall be posting different ways to get watts without walking, ya lazy gits. I encourage others to let me know of any ways you have heard of as well.

1. By far the most popular I've heard of, taping it to a fan. Usually right in the center works best, as there is less chance of it flying off. Also clipping it to bicycle spokes and spinning the wheel may work, though I wouldn't suggest riding the bike with it clipped on.
2. Clipping the walker to your shoe/sock and tapping your foot. I find this method the best as I can do it while I drive to and from work.
3. Holding the walker and shaking it in a circular motion. Not sure how this one works. I've never gotten it to work for me but I may be doing it wrong. Try it out and tell me what you think.
4. Wearing it while you sleep. I've heard this only twice now. For those that toss and turn a lot in their sleep, you could earn some extra watts during your sleep. Also a good way to see how much you move about when you sleep.
5. Tossing from hand to hand, or tossing and catching. This is simple yet works amazingly well. Just toss it back and forth between your hands or toss it a bit in the air and catch it. For those that want to learn how to juggle, borrow a couple of friend's pokewalkers and have a blast.

I did everything you just mentioned except the fan one. I can't risk it crying I strapped it around my wrist when i sleep so after a night of moving around i wake up with watts. So far, not much watts have been earned but it is something @_@

I toss it from hand to hand, but I'll try wearing it while sleeping.

Wow, just tried that and it works quite well. Surprised I never thought of something like that... Adding to the list.

Snap it to a bicycle spoke and spin the wheel.

Essentially the same as the fan technique.

Hrm, a good idea. Could be used to spin many at once as well.
I'll add that on to the fan one then.

Where did you put it on the fan and how fast?
It may require a faster fan, or to be in a specific spot, I'm not sure.

I found it is easier to just move your hand up and down slowly to get it to work.
