 A Broken Child Hood
A war has swept across the land many kids from around the wordl have suffered and the outer colonies in space have divided the nations. Most of the turning into what most adults call street rats. One child amoungst all of them is a boy named Heero. He was raised on the streets from an infant by a gang man named Thao, who died weeks later when the town was attacked by Valkory.
A nation that had seemed to be bent on war. No one stood a chance and eventually the whole contenant was under their rule. The space colonies were the only safe places left. And Valkory saw no intrest in going to space so they were content on staying on Earth. Heero leads a small group of kids and they live on the streets. Ages in kids always veirying and yet he was not older then some of the other kids yet they followed and listened. Who are you? A Kid? or An Adult? You choice and you choice your path to lead.

Lily Morgan  Lily was walking with Heero silently before she rolled her shoulder and froze. A snapping sound to the right caused her to look that way and she blocked a man from hitting her and she swept her foot under his legs, knocked him to the ground and changed her arm into a sword holding him down," Get lost." She growled and let him up before he ran off. She sighed and made her arm normal again as she jumped back up and came beside Heero again as she set her hands behind her head," I took care of him." She said and kept walking although she was bored.

 Heero was walking along with lily when a man suddenly came out of friggen no where and attacked them for no reason. Then again it was always like this for street rats. Always having to fight to servive, and having to hate the adults for forcing them into a situation they couldn't refuse. This petty war with Valkory was annoying. Those men knew nothing, but war. They tore families apart, nations, and continents. Gangs of street rats that are kids, that used to have families, roamed all over to find some sort of peace. Anything thast ment they wouldn't have to steel in order to eat. Or to kill in order to stay alive for even a mear day. This is not the kind of life kids should be living and Heero knew that, though he himself had grown up an orphan when he was really younge. He has no memories of who his parents were, but he knew they were dead and he would never be able to know them.
Heero looked at Lily when she snapped him out of his thoughts after the little tussle was over. Lily was a girl who always followed him around, though Heero never talked much. He oddly wondered though as to why she did, but he kept that to himself. Heero himself was a shape shifter and often preferred to shift to that of a gray tabby cat, or a large white bird. Though here now of days he seems to linger being a humaniod insted. He looked like most humans although with an added addition, such as a gray tabby cat tail and ears. His colbalt colored eyes didn't have the kind of normal light in them that most kids would have. The war had beaten that out of him when he was younger. He nodded though and kept on walking, knowing full well she would follow. Heero was a sly kid, always calculating, and using tactics he comes up with on his feet in no time flat. Even when cornered he always seemed to find a way out of things.

Lily Morgan Lily kept walking adn she had a tired look to her eyes as she walked behind him quietly. She always wondered why he was so quiet but never dared to ask. She figured it was a childhood... well younger childhood memory. She knew pai, she saw her whole life turned upside down when she was made to a android. It horrified her to see the changes.
As they walked her eyes shifted to see farther and she blinked," There is a wrecked truck ahead... I need to use the battery." She murmured to herself and her hands fell to her sides. Ever since she was younger she loved mechanics. She hardly got a chance before changed into... this. The man who raised her taught her a lot but didn't teach her to love or show much emotion. She didn't care, she found someone to follow and since he basicly saved her from being killed in a couple days on the street she owed him big time. Over time it had become a mere habit and she felt connected to him.

Heero thought to himself about the car situation for a moment and looked back at her. He nodded a bit, "If you must then go ahead." He said softly, his voice sounding as stoic as it always did when he spoke, almost like ice at times. Though he also had the infamous glare of death for those who pushed him to far. He knew what section of town this was and most people would leave them alone, but there were the few loners who didn't know better that would jump them at any moment. The laws of the gang being, Stay in pairs, be aware of your surrounding, and never under estimate anyone if you want to survive. The man Heero had known had taught him that. But like everything the war had taken the one person he cared for away from him.
They walked in tyhe direction of where the broken down car would be. He knew Lily's abilities with cars and didn't denie her that privalage. The girl loved machanical items and he often found her fixing things or taking them apart. If there was one person to trust with electronics it was her. Heero didn't denie anyone a thing. If they wanted to leave then they could leave without a fuss over it. Sure there would be a small gathering of the gang to wish them farewell and safe jounries, but nothing more. If a child was sick Heero would work hard to get the medican they needed to get better. If a new child came into the gang he would give them the things they would need to survive and teach them the ways of the streets. Other then that he was distant and silent. Trying all the time not to get attached to anyone, for if someone were to die then the emotions would get in the way and he couldn' have that happen. None of them could have that happen.

The broken car wasn't as abandoned as it looked. A boy was there or rather he looked like a boy and it was simpler to call himself one. Truthfully he was both male and female and his name was Shiro. He looked up from the car when he heard other's coming. Dark red eyes narrowed as he stepped out into the open. He wasn't letting anyone claim the car. He could use the parts to up grade his hide out. He leaned against the side and watched the pair.
He had been living on the streets for three years. In that time he had never relied on anyone. Doing that led to death, he had seen it happen. Those he lived alone. He stole and fought for what he wanted. He didn't know any other way to live as a street rat. He missed his family, but there was nothing he could do but live.

Lily Morgan Lily saw the boy and kept walking," Heero." She said simply before stopping in front of the boy," Hello there. I'm in need of a car battery." She told Shiro and her black eyes went back to the way they were before," I presume the vehicle has one." She then told Shiro without much emotions leaking through. Lily kept her hands at her sides. This boy looked stubborn about the car and she also figured he could tell her situation. The light had started to fade from her eyes, although it wasn't there all the time in the first place anyway. She lost all hope and never planned to get her own humanity back so she had to help others.

Dark red eyes flicked over her. Android. The thought flashed through his mind. He nodded at her in greeting. "It does," he said. He looked into her eyes and saw how lifeless they were. "Take it, but nothing else," he said. He turned and went back to what he had been doinging. He had been taking parts from the heating and air conditioning systems.
Suddenly a gun shot went off. He blinked as pain shot through is arm. He looked down and saw blood spreading from a wound in his shoulder. "...."
He looked around as he pulled out a bandage and tied off his arm. "Who's there?" he said to the surrounding buildings. He closed his eyes and searched for his attacker or attackers' consiousness.

Lily Morgan Lily had pulled a cord out of her arm and opened the hood while holding the cord in her mouth. She was about to plug in but when she heard the shot she let go of it and the cord went back into her arm as she spun around. She saw the boy was shot and her eyes narrowed as she looked around. She saw someone hiding in a building and a grin formed on her lips. He thought he could get past her eyes? Pathetic. She pointed him out to Shiro," There." She said simply and her black eyes kept locked on with the man's as he aimed the gun at her now. Her eyes flashed orange as she was gone in a split second, only to be on the roof of the house he was in, but he didn't know that.

Heero out of habit watched the two from a distance in order to give the boy his space. He knew that look. A look of one whom trustsed no one and kept to himself like a lone wolf to the world around him that was slowly falling apart no matter how you looked at it. He watched as an agreement was made and Lily went to the battery to charge. A gun shot rang out and the first thing Heero did was shift to his feline tabby form and stalking towards the building that held the man Whom had shot at the other boy.
He slipped the a crack in an door that was slowly falling apart and snuck up on the man in the building. He had curled up behind some old furnature and watched from behind. If the man took aim again he would attack him without thinking twice about it. Heero had a habit of protecting people and being whom he was he wasn't going to let that end there. No matter if he knew the boy or not. He would not let an Adult choose to end the life of another like himself. Street rats help street rats and adults kill for pleasure, or so that's what he always thought. Death being the only thing he knew.

Lily Morgan Lily stayed on the roof of the house and sensed Heero inside with the man. She grinned and jumped back down as she waited to see how this would play out. Her black eyes narrowed and flashed orange again as she glared at the man the was in front of Heero and her arms crossed. She would dare the man to shoot at her. She would. He would die in a matter of minutes.
