Well for me
I had to go to a different school just to have JROTC
So at my prom, I didn't really have a lot of friends, because all mine were in JROTC.
Plus my date was a bore, wouldn't dance, and I was just glad that he paid for everything.
However that was probably the best prom they've had in my district in years and it'll be the last since they implemented more rules regarding formals.
It was stuff out of the movies.
They had chocolate fountains with anything you could want to dip with.
"Bars" where you could order virgin drinks
Glowing dance floor
DJ had a projector screen to shoot music vids and he played all the latest hits.
But like I said, I didn't know anybody really, so I had a so-so time.
At my military ball
I knew everybody
We joked, laughed, it was beautiful, danced with all my friends.
So I had a greater time at mil ball, but I'm sure if I knew more people at my school I might have had a good time at prom.
