So, bad news for all fans of the first L4D characters.


One died.

If you don't feel like watching that, basically it says The Tagline for the Passing's Poster is"Nobody Survives Forever", because one of the L4D1 characters died after the events of L4D1. In the L4D1 DLC coming out in a month or so at the end one of the survivors has to sacrifice themself so the other 3 survive. My thought is that whoever that is won't be cannon, since every team will choose a different person.

Now, I think I know who died, and it makes me really pissed.

Process of elimination:
Francis- The Developers stated: 'Nick and Francis have some unique interactions.'
Francis survived.
Zoey-It was stated that: 'and Ellis gets a crush on Zoey'
That means Zoey survived.

So, we are down to the Vietnam War Vet and the Black Business guy.

In Crash Course Louis had a few new lines. Bill didn't.
My thought is that the storyline will say that Bill became a hero, blah blah, sacrificed himself.

Sucks, because Bill is my favorite character. I only hope I'm wrong, and it's Louis.


UPDATE:

Oh, from what I've read on forums and whatnot, The Passing is not set for release in March anymore. Apparently they just made an announcement somewhere about it being just sometime in Spring, which is bullshit.

If you know Valve, you know that this s**t happens all the time.

But, there is still some time left in March. Maybe I was misinformed. I certainly hope so, but knowing Valve, I assume it's true.

From checking out the Steam Forums and (Supposed) Emails from Chet Falisezek, The Passing will be coming out some time next week. These e-mails were in response to a rather cleverly-worded blog update, Here

I honestly hate to say this but...I think Bill would die. I mean he is my second favorite character but... in L4D he sometimes acts like a hero.

the new enamy in "the passing" is called "The Fallen Survivor."

so it is highly possable someone died.

The fallen survivor isn't any specific guy. Theres going to be a bunch of them. Its the equivalent to the CEDA zombies.

And Scorch, Valve has stated that one of the L4D 1 survivors died. So...its...definite. Not just possible.

and its also said that when the Fallen Survivor is killed that he'll drop some usable items. like ammo or moloctov cocktails(sp?) And he has sort of the same actions as The Screamer since he runs away when he sees the survivors and attacks from afar. or something like that.
