Me and you are in a bunker alone and its cold and dark but the mood is just right for romance and then all the sudden theres a noise and we peak out the hole in the wall to see what it is and there out the portal we see zerglings charging at the bunker, A whole mess of them and no radio to call for help.

take out the romance thing then, and i was thinking more off a pre war kind of thing when zerg just attack, we are part of the military and out group is sent in to observe what has happened and then we are attacked, epic battle

I hate epic battles but, it's the same thing as what i said either way. You're just reading too much into it all, and it seems like you have an idea as well. So lets go over yours and then we can get back to mine.

I have an idea it's more like a fan fic then an RP but here it goes.
A group of marines flying towards an outpost on the outskirts of Mar Sara Colony. Their drop ship is suddenly struck by something and goes down hard crashing and killing the pilot and the command officer. The remaining marines and survivors quickly find a pecking order and decide on the next course of action. Taking the few supplies that are left they set out to find the outpost they are assigned to.
After hours of marching in the harsh conditions of the outskirts they hear gun fire and rush into actions only to find that there is a small group of marine being torn apart by aliens with sharp talons and big teeth, But they don't reach the group in time and the aliens charge at them.
The story goes on that the mission is to get to the remote outpost and call for an extraction and warn the colony of the incoming hostile aliens.
