Hey all,
As of right now, I have no contest/activity planned for January. What I want to know is, what will you participate in? Writing? Drawing? Spamming? What sort of contest or game do YOU want to see?
Here's some of the things we've done in the past:
-Creative writing
-Essay writing
-Fan Fiction
-Art contest
-Dress-up competition (Will not do for January. Cosplay days are coming in March)
-Roleplaying competition (Murder mystery, anyone?)
-Gift exchange
So, what are you most interested in participating in? Is there a contest or game you've seen in other guilds that you think could be done here?
All input will be greatly appreciated.

Roleplaying would be fun. I really liked the murder mystery. I'm always up for an art contest, especially avatar art... ooh, maybe an art gift exchange thing where we randomly draw, or are assigned another Kapow!ian and have to make some kind of art piece for them. There could be a contest, too, for the best piece... overall or by category. 3nodding

I told ya before, but I'll run cosplay days in March this year.
My vote is for another murder mystery... But I know that took a lot of planning on your part though.

I dunno, with all the giant changes going on in the comic world today, I personally would ask for a writing thing, like the summary for a new world, or some form of "What If" or other.
My anti-artistic mind just cannot get the artsy thing, so writing is my vote.

But will people participate? The last writing contest I held had exactly TWO winners...which was the exact number of people who entered.

If I find the time, yes...or judge like I do most of the time on these things.
Horrible artist here, so nix that idea is my vote. Let's just brawl for it! Get however many people in this things, two refs and rp a huge battle!

SCAVENGER HUNT!!!!
I'm doing one the Martial Arts Crew soon. Set up a clue on where to find something in Guild and use your edit function to hide it and a clue to the next item.
Usually what you have to find is words or letters and the last item is a key to the answer. First person with the answer wins.

Oh yeah, we did one of those this year, too, didn't we? We divided the participatns into teams and gave them a list of things to find on all of Gaia. It was fun, but in the end the team thing dragged some people down because members of their teams dissappeared. Maybe doing it individually would be better.

I'm doing mine in the Crew only. That way some of my newer members will be encouraged to read some of the resource threads. A lot of my guys just stick with one or two threads. The UFC fans don't read the internal training stuff, and so on. Hopefully' I'll be broadening some horizons.
We're also doing "Name that dude!"
I give a different hint every week and each member gets one guess per week until someone names that dude. The first clue is always a really broad one like : "I'm dead, dude."

Ooo. Another little bit on "Name that Dude." The prize gets lower the more hints you give out. If someone gets lucky in the first week and names that dude, they get a huge prize, like maybe two letters. If you get all the way to like week 4, the they have plenty of hints the prize endes up being a gold amount. Keeps the incentive high and keeps people from slacking and waiting until all the clues are out there. 3nodding
