Shoot. This one took two attempts and was a long haul. Took a couple of revives along the way as well because she has a big, angry Steelix that is level 35 and far higher than my other pokemon at the time. I left her for position 7 because you can do the Mohagony Hideout and the Mohagony Gym first. Did anyone know that?

Use that opprotunity to level up your pokemon!!!

Fire is good here. Really. But I don't have a Firetype on my team right now. I've not used Dig on anyone yet either. (I have GOT to do something about that...)

Soooo....

Machop (evolved into Machoke) and Crocanaw won me this battle, although both fainted and I relied on Ampharos (now fully evolved) to sit there and stall for me since Steel moves are weak against electric types. During this point I fully rehealed both Machoke and Crocanaw for a second go. The problem is, Jasmine REALLY likes Hyper Potion. She did it twice during the fight. I ended up measuring just how much damage various moves of the two did to Steelix and that was how I won.

My best advice here in the end is really level up your pokemon before you go against her, and do away really quick with those two Magnemite first, or they'll paralyze you silly.

The first magnemite went down easily enough. The Steelix i had trouble with i had to revive Quilava and Chinchou 1 each. Then i used Quilava's smokescreen 4-5 times till Steelix couldn't hit the broadside of a Wailord. The last Magnemite give alittle trouble but went down. All in all took 3 revives and 1 try to defeat this Gym. My pokemon were mid 20s thats probably why i had trouble.

For me, Jasmine was pretty easy. Of course, it helped that I had a Typhlosion at the time. Her two Magnemites I took out with my Nidorino and his Double Kick, while Typhlosion took out Steelix with Lava Plume.
