Characters
Roleplay OOC

You were invited to Castle Wyndara by Queen Bridgitta and King Thomasine VI to see the newborn prince, when you were caught in the most ferocious storm you have seen in months. You spur your horse to go faster as is desperately runs along the now muddy path and you look for anything you can use as shelter, so you can wait out the storm and continue your trek to the castle. Your silent prayers are answered as you make out a building in the distance, and as your horse speedily makes it way towards you can make out a sign hanging from the side of the building. As you get even closer, you can make out the words on the sign that is blowing in the wind, as it reads "The Astonishing Serpent Inn". You pull on the reins to make your horse stop, and you walk it into the attached stable, closing the door and listening to the stall door click shut.

You pull the hood of your cloak up as you walk to the door of the inn. You push the door open as fast as you can as do a few quick steps inside. The first think you notice is that the inn is virtually empty, except for the proprietor of the inn, a couple of mercenaries sitting at a table to the far right, and a hooded figure sitting at the end of the bar. You pull your hood down and walk up to the bar, sitting on one of the wooden stools that are in front of it.

"Quite the storm out there, no?" says the elven proprietor. "Mother Earth must be really upset with something to cry this much.". you nod and ask for something to drink. "Of course." she says as she reaches under the bar for a bottle and a wooden mug. She hands them off to you and you pour your first mug. "That will be five imperiums." She says. You lay down five gold coins. She scoops them up and puts them in a pouch and put the pouch in a chest under the kegs of wine and beer.

As you take your first sip of your drink, you hear a voice coming from the end of the bar. "Hey, you," you turn your head and see that the hooded man is trying to get your attention. "Want to hear a story? It will pass some time while you wait out the storm." he said. You nod and the man starts his story.

You may have heard the stories of how Wyndara was once ruled by a race of maniacal elves, who had the battle knowledge and tactics of Wood Elves, the class and dignity of High Elves, and the blood of Dark Elves, which made them a superior race above all, but you have never heard the true story...of how the Zweihan Elves came to be.

You see, it started almost six hundred years ago. A young Dark Elf was born by the name of Cormorin Zweihan. He was adopted at a young age by a Wood Elf and High Elf couple because his mother died in child birth and his father took his own life shortly after that. He was taught by his High Elf mother how to respect different races and show interest in their beliefs, and taught by his Wood Elf father how to hunt and fight when the time called for it. He was the greatest child in his whole village.

As time moved on, Cormorin started to take an interest in women, one in particular, a Dark Elf named Amphelice. Now, not much is known about her, other then she was nothing more then a servant to a high class family in the village, but Cormoring took quite a liking to the young wench. The two were inseparable and were soon spending every waking moment together. The other women in the village tried to win over Cormorin's heart, but they all failed and hated how such a respectful and strong Dark Elf would fall for such trash, but he didn't care. One day, Cormorin pronounced his love for her and asked her to marry him. She agreed with great enthusiasm and a date was set for the wedding.

Now, this is where things start to get bad for Cormorin. The night before their wedding, a group of crazed mercenaries ransacked the elvish village, taking many women with them and burning down the building where Amphelice lived. Cormorin was awakened in the middle of the night by the commotion and saw what was happening. He rushed out of his house and ran right into the burning building, looking for his love, but all he saw was the corpses of the elves that owned the house. HE knew his love had been taken by the mercenaries. He ran back home to get his father's bow, arrows, and short sword. He was begged not to go, but he had one thing on his mind, the safety of his bride.

Using his Wood Elf instincts and skills, he tracked the mercenaries to a small camp a couple of miles out of the village. He hid in the shadows, waiting for his chance to strike. That was when he saw his love, she was strapped to a tree and screaming for help, while the other elvish women were in a crudely made wooden cage. Cormorin placed an arrow in his bow and pulled it back. The first guy got up and Cormorin let the arrow streak through the night, striking the mercenary in the head. He had no time to scream, he was dead the moment that arrow made contact with the brute's skull. The others rose to their feet as they started to drop like flies, one by one.

There were three left by the time Cormorin ran out of arrows. He drew his short sword and rush right into the fray. He rammed the blade into the first on so fast, he dropped his blade and fell to his knees. Cormorin finished him off by slitting his throat. The next mercenary managed to get a few good strikes in before Cormorin beheaded the poor sap. The last mercenary had grabbed Amphelice while Cormorin was busy with his buddy. The last mercenary used Amphelice as a shield against Cormorin. He dropped his blade and yielded to the mercenary, thinking he would release his love and everything would go back to the way it was. The next thing he knew was that he felt warm liquid splash on his face, he looked up and saw that the mercenary had slit Amphelice throat. She fell to the ground, still and lifeless. At that point, Cormorin lost it and started punching the mercenary, not stopping until he felt the blood of his kill all over his hands.

After it was over, Cormorin let the other girls go and told them to tell the village he died defending the one he cared about. As they left, he wished he could do anything to feel the loving embrace of his beloved again. His prayes were answered, but not by anything good, for you see, a demon was watching the whole mess. He offered Cormorin the chance to revive his love for his soul. Now, usually, when a demon approaches you with an offer like that, how can you say no?

Cormorin agreed, but didn't know the consequences. Amphelice body was left in the exact same spot where it hit the ground, and Cormorin had the deepest desire to kill and enslave all of Wyndara, for revenge of his fallen love. This is the birth of the Zweihan had come to be.

Now it's time for the rules...Oh, don't make that look. Every RP has them and this ones no exception.

1. Follow the Gaia ToS and the guild rules!
2. This roleplay is semi-lit. to lit. That means I don't want to see one liners every post. Writers block is understandable, but try not to keep posting if you have it. Take a break, something will come to you.
3. In this RP, I AM GOD! I go with a two strike system. You break them once, you get a warning and a nice PM to tell you what you are doing wrong. If it persists, I ban you so fast, you won't have time to recover from the shock! So play nice.
4. Puppeteering will not be tolerated. You must ask permission from the Gaian in control of the character to take control of their character
5. PM me all profiles, entitled "My Part in History". So I know you were reading the rules, also put a ninja somewhere in the PM.
7. Everyone is allowed two characters. I will make some exceptions if you ask and persuade me with a great character.
8. No killing PC's. You must ask permission before anything is to happen to them. Gaian's that had their character killed my rejoin as a new character.
9. All OOC chat goes to the OOC thread. When I see OOC in a roleplay, people start losing the illusion of fantasy and get confused.
10. Finally, have fun my fellow roleplayers!

Races

Humans
The most populated race in all of Wyndara and only live for close to one hundred years. They are a well-adapted race and have constructed many cities throughout the land. Most Humans work as guards or warriors, but will sometimes learn how to use other weapons. Most human don't know magic, but sometimes a human is born with magical powers. A birth mark on the back of their right hand is the dead giveaway, as the birth mark is shaped like one of the six elemental runes, Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, and Dark. They are called "Enlightened" and believe they were hand picked by their god to control they element they were given. There has never been any case of a human learning more then one type of elemental magic.

Human worship one God, called Zanzibar. They believe he was the one to create the elements and unleash them on the barren land to create life, light, and shadow. Almost every human town has a church of Zanzibar in it.

Elves
Elves are the second most populated race in Wyndara and live for close to five hundred years. They mainly stick to the forests and make small villages inside them. These villages contain about three high class families, five middle class, and a unending amount of low class and servants.

Elves are separated into three different sub-races, High Elves, Wood Elves, and Dark Elves, each with their own traits and abilities. The sub-races are mainly divided evenly and live together in harmony. There is talk about a new race of elves, but it's just rumors and speculation at the moment.

The elves worship three things. Mother Earth, Luna and Soluris. Mother Earth is the elements, like fire, water, earth, and air. Soluris is the light, and Luna is the darkness. They believe that Soluris and Luna birthed Mother Earth, and in turn, she birthed the elements, Undine (water), Salamander (fire), Gnome (earth), and Selphie (air).

Beastmen
Beastmen are quite scattered around Wyndara, but are very proud of their race. They live for one thousand years before dieing and being resurrected as a newborn cub. There are many sub-races of Beastmen, all worshiping different things and animals, but they all share one thing in common, there ability to transform into a avatar of their gods. When in a human state, the Beastmen retain their animal ears and tails, along with their senses. Some use weapons, while others are too proud to use anything other then their fists and feral form.

All Beastmen are equals within their citadels. There is no poverty, classism, or greed. When choosing a mate, they do what their respective gods do...fight for dominance. Before, the entire thing was a blood sport and would go on until one killed the other, but now it is done by one submitting to the other.

Beastmen don't believe in the elements. They believe the world was created by there respective gods. Each creating something for a beautiful world.

Dwarves
Dwarves are mountain dwelling people who make items out of minerals in the earth. They live for sixty years. Their shot lifespan comes from their constant mining. They inhale so much dust and other foreign agents, their bodies just give up on them. You will see many dwarf blacksmiths, jewelers, and mineral dealers. They are also a very headstrong race and believe they have have the strength to take on anything. You will always see a dwarf warrior wearing full plate armor, brandishing an axe of some kind, and talking like they own everything they sink their axe into.

Dwarves have no gods, and cannot learn magic. They believe if you achieved something great in your lifetime, you will be honored as a god in the "Hall of Heroes" for what you did in your lifetime. Offerings are made at the statues and wishes are said. Most come true, while others have to achieve it on their own.

-----

Classes

Warriors
Warriors are your typical sword-wielding or axe-wielding fighters. They have a basic code of honor among them...Fight till your last breath. Warriors are always seen wearing some kind of metal armor, ranging from heavy chainmail to tempered plate. There weapons are always two-handed to inflict as mush damage as they can from a decent distance before rushing into battle.

Dwarven warriors can't wield such large weapons, so they make their own variant of normal two-handed weapons, but because these variants are so small, they rush in and hack anything that stands in there way.

Mages
Mages are taught at a young age on how to manipulate the elements to defend themselves. Only elves are taught how to use magic without knowing a thing about it. Humans are born with only power over a single element and taught how to control it. No human has the ability to control two or more elements.

Young mages must always keep their powers in check through study and meditation. Elven mages who fail to do this are classified too dangerous and sentenced to exile and have their powers removed by the Council of Mages. Human mages have their emotions stripped by an elven mage and become known a Tranquil...a fate worse then death for a human mage.

Most mages that are exiled or made Tranquil are the kind that want to master their powers quickly and take on too much power at one time. Mages are deemed safe once they turn eighteen, for that is the age your powers have fully set in and you require no more training to keep your powers in line.

Archers
Archers are well trained hunters who know how to strike with blinding speed.

Elven archers prefer the bow over the crossbow as it a lot more silent and gets the job done quick...if you know how to use it. Human archers prefer the crossbow over the bow for one simple reason...power. You will sometimes see a elf with a crossbow and a human with a bow, but only on rare occasions.

Elves prefer light armor, such as padded fur and riveted leather. It allows them to effectively pull the arrows to their full length and unleah them with power and speed. Humans prefer light armor also, but tend to use chainmail as an effective defense. It doesn't make them silent, but the only have to load a arrow into a crossbow and pull the trigger.

Knights
Knights are warriors with a sense of honor. All races have a set of knights in Wyndara's capital to defend the king and queen from outside forces. They are always in tempered platemail and use anything ranging from swords to crossbows.

Most knights never leave the castle, but the ones that do are either on leave or escorting an ambassador from another town. Some also patrol the roads of Wyndara, trying to keep it safe from bandits and other scum.

Assassins
Assassins are stealthy and efficient killers, charged for killing anyone who has the bigger price on their head. Assassins prefer to work alone compared to groups, as they tend to get in the way of the assassin's target and payout.

Most assassins prefer the shadows, secrecy, and manipulation then to brute force and cleaving off limbs, but there are assassins like that. People can never distinguish an assassin from a normal traveler until they have done their job and moved on.

Thieves
Thieves are people that steal from people for their valubles, be it through drugs, manipulation, or just plain sneakiness.

There are two different kinds of thieves, ones who steal for the satisfaction of their greed, or relieve the valuables of the wealthy to give to the low-class citizens that have nothing, like Robin Hood.

Most thieves disguise themselves as someone important to gain access to noble households. Once they are done, they vanish almost as fast as you let them into your house.

((That is just a few classes. You can have whatever class you want, and I will be more then happy to add it to the class list. Just provide me with a general description.))

Clans: Elves and Beastmen Only

Elves

Wood Elves
Wood Elves are the hunters of the elven race. They know how to track, place effective traps, and know almost every call of the animals of Wyndara. They are told apart from their elven brethren by the markings on their faces. As soon as a Wood Elf is born, it is given a tattoo under it's left eye in the shape of the family symbol. As the life of a Wood Elf progresses, they gains marks by how well they are at hunting and trapping. Each mark is a rank, and the highest they go is ten.

Once a Wood Elf reaches five marks, they are able to take an apprentice and teach them how to hunt. Each mark after that is an extra apprentice until they reach their tenth mark. Once a Wood Elf has all their marks, they are able to leave the village to create their own village for elves, or travel until they are content with themselves.

High Elves
High Elves are the warriors of the elven race. They are taught how to wield a sword the moment they reach adolescence. While they are a child, they are taught how to be kind and how treat others with respect. High Elves are told apart from their elven brethren by their golden colored hair, and slightly larger ears then the rest of the elves.

Most High Elves become knights to protect the royal family of Wyndara, while others become sell-swords and adventures, wanting to see the world and find treasure to bring home to their families.

Dark Elves
Dark Elves are mystically inclined the moment they are born. They have full control over their magical powers and need no training to harness them. Dark Elves are told apart from the rest of their elven brethren by their dark tanned skin.

Most Dark Elves join other elven villages as healers or magic tutors, but others decide to leave to seek a life of adventure and learn spells they never know existed.

Zwiehan Elves
Zwiehan Elves are a superior race of elves. They believe Wyndara belongs to them and will stop at nothing to possess it. The Zwiehan Elves have the physical features of Dark Elves, the skill and ranking system of Wood Elves, and the disipline and mannerism of High Elves.

Zwiehan Elves are chosen by Cormorin Zwiehan. He takes Dark Elves that no one will miss and brainwashes them with demonic magic, imprinting the skills he learned in his youth in their minds, along with learning spells from their minds to add to his never-ending knowledge.

Note: All elves have magic, and only the Wood Elves and High Elves need training.

------

Beastmen

Howling Bravery
The beastmen who were born into the Howling Bravery worship the wolf as their god. They have the ears and tail of a wolf while in human form, along with the senses and tracking of a wolf, and agility.

When born and into early childhood, Howling Bravery clan members are taught to hunt for pray in their feral from, and prepare it in their human form. Territory of camps are marked with warning signs with animal skulls mounted on a pile of rocks.

Most of the clan fight in their feral form, but they keep themselves well equipped in case they are ever ambushed. They believe if a wolf howls before you leave the citadel, you are getting a blessing to return safely.

Roaring Courage
The beastmen that belong into the Roaring Courage clan worship the bear as their god. They have the ears and tails of a bear, and they strength to boot.

At birth, Roaring Courage members are taught how to fight and how to fish...both in their human form and feral form. Territory of Roaring Courage camps are patrolled on shifts by members of the clan.

Clan members carry nothing but hunting and fishing supplies on them. When it comes down to fighting, they rely on their strength and feral from.

Shining Scales
The beastmen who were born into the Shining Scales worship the lizard as their god. They have the claws and tail of a lizard while in human form, along with the senses and hardiness of a lizard.

When born and into early childhood, Shining Scales clan members are educated and trained in a single martial art of their choice. They make good monks and scholars, being very analytical and serious. Territory of camps are recognized by intricately carved totems.

Clan members don't carry anything, but their books for studying when they are not in battle. Feral forms are used for recon in heavily forested areas and deserts, as they can blend in with the foliage and move faster.
(Creator: Anbu-Chan)

Shadow Tail
The beastmen who were born into the Shadow Tail worship the rat as their god. They have the ears and tail of a rat while in human form, along with the senses and dexterity of a rat.

When born and into early childhood, Shadow Tail clan members are taught the skills of thievery and assassination. They are naturally cunning and extremely resourceful. Territory of camps are surrounded by wooden fences.

Clan members usually carry daggers as defense, and a few pouches for money and food. Feral forms are used to trick enemies and get reinforcements into a fray quickly and quietly without the opposition knowing.
(Creator: Anbu-Chan)

Feral Heart
The beastmen that live with the Feral Hearts worship the lion as their goddess. They have the ears, claws, and tail of a predatory cat, whether it be a cheetah of the savannahs or a jaguar of the forests. The beastmen of the Feral Hearts are a varied race, but all of them are blessed with extraordinary grace and agility. It is rumored that a Feral Heart always lands upon his or her feet.

From birth, Feral Hearts are taught an exclusive, almost acrobatic form of fighting. They hunt according to their inner animal. Territory of the Feral Hearts are not marked, but scented. Even a human can pick up the distinct scent of a Feral Heart. Many find the Feral hearts a curious and warm race.

Feral hearts, like most beastmen, rarely carry weapons and fight with their feral form. However, they are often adorned with traditional jewelry. They are most known for their uncanny ability to dodge seemingly unavoidable attacks and their excellent recovery rate.
(Creator: Toxias)

Sharp Eye
The beastmen that are born to the Sharp Eyes worship the hawk as their god. They have the eyes of a bird of prey, and lighter bones than most of their kind. Most astonishing of all is their wings, large enough to support them in flight. They are renowned for their speed and precision, but also for their fierce loyalty to one another.

At birth, a Sharp Eye is thrown off a cliff. If the child cannot fly, he is deemed unworthy of living and dashed to death upon the rocks. If the child survives and flies back to the cliff, he is then taken and trained in either archery or hand-to-hand combat. However, the Sharp Eyes depend heavily upon aerial attacks both for hunting and for attack. The territory of the Sharp Eyes is marked out by carvings of wings or eyes. A traveler may also see the nest-like structures in which they live. Ware to those who get too close. The Sharp Eyes are a proud and intolerant race.

Sharp Eyes rarely use weapons, but instead, fortify their already strong nails with various metals. In combat, they rely upon their ability to attack from above, as well as their lightning quick strikes and deadly precision.
(Creator: Toxias)

((I am currently having writers block for beastmen clans. If you want to create your own, send me the name of the clan and a short description. It would be greatly appreciated.))

Organizations

Circle of Mages
The Circle Of Mages is a high council of mages that oversee all teachers and students in Wyndara. They are composed of some of the most powerful mages in Wyndara, most of them are Dark Elves, but there are a few humans and other sub-races of elves in the circle.

Undolt's Mercenaries
A mercenary group that has what the solo adventure is looking for. They are a mercenary group run by Undolt Vintegra, a Roaring Courage clan member. He has warriors, assassins, and anything you can think of traveling with him. If you got the imperiums, you got the help of Undolt and his many talented friends.

((If you want to create your own organization, feel free to. Just give me a PM with the name and information of the group.))

Anolaios was walking towards the market in the capital. He was sent to collect the shipment of swords from Mythrial, a dwarven city to the north. "I wonder why they didn't send anyone with me?" he thought as he made his way to the blacksmiths. Upon entering, the blacksmith knew he was with the Royal Knights.

"Ah, are you here for the guard's shipment?" the blacksmith said. Anolaios nodded. The blacksmith gave him a single package, with the insignia of Mythrial. Anolaios looked it over and looked confused.

"My master said there was a "new swords" shipment. Is this is?" he said. The blacksmith chuckled as he put the piece of hot metal he was working on in the barrel of water.

"Yes sir! It's a tempered steel blade with a special engraving, commissioned by the Knight Captain himself." he said. Anolaios should have known. Only the Knight Captain would send for something like this. He always commissioned specialty equipment from Mythrial. He was only the Knight Captain because his father held a place of power on the royal council. All the equipment the Royal Knights had was made by the local blacksmith. He sighed and turned around.

"Well, thank you, Gustav. I guess I should be on my way." he said. Anolaios turned around to leave, holding the covered sword over his shoulder as he carried it back to the castle.

Do you believe in Majik

"what a lovely day, isnt it Tayel?" The dark skinned elf smiled at the large cat, who flicked its tail and coiled up in the sunlight again before dozing off. "You're a silly cat you know." Ne'stariel taunted, standing up and looking to the skies. Her bones ached, there would be rain soon.

"Looks like the gods are sad today." she mused, putting her arm out as the large cat uncoiled, strretched and sprang onto her arm in one fluid motion. She smiled and brushed its whiskers.

"Maybe we can go into town and get something yummy to eat, i wonder if they have any apples, apples are so delicious. Even you would like them Tayel, and their very yummy with chicken and fish too."

And with that, the dark elf and her overly large spotted feline made for the city gates, smiling as she approached.

The market was alive and bustling about with people brushing by eachother to get at bargains and booths. Nadi managed to squeeze by two bulky women who were trying to bargain for cloth. She blindly reached out with one hand and took hold of the fabric. "This one!" Her melodic voice rang out to the merchant. She tossed payment at him and then hurried away from the crowd. She bought it quickly before anyone else fought her for it, but it also caused her not to see the off-white cloth wasn't that beautiful. She didn't mind though, she was buying these to use as banding products, for the wounded. Quickly, she folded the fabric and pushed it into her bag. Nadi smiled a little, and then once again, brushed by the market place in search of more items she needed to purchase. Her skin was fair and one would leave a scar just by merely scratching her, or so it seemed that way. Those eyes were lively and restless, searching beyond what was in sight. Soft, pink lips parted when she announced she'd buy something. Those long, smooth hair of hers flowed to and from as she moved about, avoiding getting run down by others.

ONLY IN DARKNESS MAY TRUTH DIVULGE...
Dvi'r
THE AIR was thick with the scent of death and he found himself drawn to the massacre. This time it had not been his doing, the pool of blood curling around his boots never springing from his own blade. No, this time someone had interfered with his job.

And what a terrible job they had done.

He knew it was a mockery, a taunt meant to goad him into action, to seek out the fools who dared to soil his name. That too, they had done a terrible job of. He almost wondered what idiocy must have struck his antagonists in the head for them to believe something as half-hearted and poorly executed as this could draw a rise out of him.

Dvi'r sniffed disdainfully. It truly was a horrific sight, the walls, floor, and ceiling splattered with so much gore that even he without eyes could see. He raised a foot to take a silent step, but paused and thought better of it. There was something unidentifiable dripping from above and not a moment too soon did that thing fall, hitting the wooden floorboards with a squelch. He grimaced. Dvi'r honestly felt sorry for whoever was to be in charge of cleaning this up.

His unheard condolences aside, he picked himself away from the crime scene, taking a back route he had mapped out three days prior. Turning to the wind, he said to the shadows, "I will not fight a coward should a coward be all there is to fight."
