Heidi started at the military-esque obstacle course that lay in front of her. There was just...NO way...
She had made a bet with Dar that she could make it through the course faster than her TECHNICIAN, but after Heidi had stared at the spikey and muddy field for a half an hour, Dar had left, with a disgusted huff. She knew her WEAPON didn't like getting her hands dirty, but still.
So now the blond teen was standing, still trying to figure out a way through with minimal damage to her clothing. She supposed she'd just have to pay up. She sighed and sat down, watching other students whip through, as well as fight each other in the other areas.
Heidi just wasn't made for actual combat. That's why she BECAME the weapon to be used!

Try as he might, Isztivan hadn't managed to convince Dominique to join him in training, mainly on the grounds that he was the weapon and didn't really need to. Though he couldn't get out of wavelength practice later, and he could probably use a little exercise anyway, Dom was awfully meek at the best of times.
Isztivan though was a great deal more in his element, he wasn't dressed terribly dissimilar from the way he normally would, save for sweat bands, he wore a sleeveless shirt and three quarter trousers like he always did. His hair wasn't as neat and trim as it usually was with his work out now.
He was taking a break now, he'd worked up quite a sweat now, he watched some of the others going about the obstacle course as he took a few swings of water. He noticed someone else watching from one of the benches.
"Hey, you going to do the obstacle course?" He smiled, wiping his forehead and bangs from his eyes.

Heidi's blond hair was up in a high pony-tail, instead of the normal fancy bun, and so it whipped around her face as she turned her head to look at the voice speaking to her. She shrugged. Her fancy, designer coat had already been shed, sitting next to her on the bench, and she wore a tight fitting tank top, with a pair of olive drab green capri cargo pants. Under her pants were a pair of (rather fancy) army boots.
"Oh, well...I mean. Maybe?" she said, looking up. She rested her elbow on her knee, then cupped her chin in her hand. "I don't think I'm cut out for this junk, though. I just change and let Dar swing me around like a Barbarian."

Isztivan took a seat next to her, for someone who wasn’t sure about training she looked more than prepared. Actually army gear was probably better suited to this than his own sports wear.
“Oh you’re a weapon then?” From what she said it was easy to assume that. “My weapon didn’t want to train either for the same reason; I keep telling we’ll never get our resonance up if he avoids it” His commentary on Dominique was true, though it helped get that point across over to Heidi.
“What about your tech then-” He was about to pull a name out of the air before he realized he didn’t know her name, and decided to introduce himself. “...Oh right, I’m Isztivan, you?”

Heidi stuck out her tan, slender hand. "I'm Heidi," she replied chipperly. "Nice to meet you, Is-Isztivan." She turned a little pink as she tripped over his name. It certainly was a mouthful!
She glanced at him, her interest having picked up a little. "How would training help with resonance?" she asked. She, quite obviously, was never partiularly...attentive in class. The blond had always figured that changing was good enough, and that when their wavelenghts matched up right, resonance would result from it (and she heard from older kids that nifty things happened).
"Maybe you can show me how to run this thing, then?"
If it would make her better, she supposed she should do it. And then she wouldn't have to tell Dar she hadn't tried it either!

“It’s easier if you think of it like ‘Steven’, expect with an ‘Iz’ at the start” He said as he took her hand, half smiling and giggling at her embarrassment.
“I mean, me and my weapon, Dom, we should train together, so we mesh better, it’s no good if I’m just training and he’s off by himself.” Isztivan wasn’t much for class either, Dominique was the book worm of their pairing, but he got the basic idea of it all.
“But there’s like, wavelength training, it’s kind of different from this” He motioned to the course. Having to hold hands with Dom to see how well they matched when they first paired up came to mind.
“Hmm, I haven’t tried it either yet...” as he spoke he pulled at the collar of his shirt back and forth to fan his torso with cool air. “So I guess it’ll be something new for both of us?” He gave a nervous sort of chuckle.

"Oh, ok," she said, nodding and saying his name again in her head, having less difficulties. She shook his hand briefly and then dropped her hand into her lap, so it rested on top of the other hand, very prim and proper.
Heidi felt a little guilty about what he was saying about him and his weapon training together. She knew she should have done stuff with Dar around, she had never thought of it as being hurtful to their growth, but now it occurred to her it might be.
"Maybe I should pay more attention in class," she mused aloud, when he mentioned the wavelength training.
The blond stood up and tugged a little at her ponytail. "Well...I guess we can flounder through it together, hmm?"

Isztivan gave a nod, it wasn’t the first and it defiantly wouldn’t be the last time he’d have to explain how to pronounce his name.
Isztivan still thought it odd, Dominique knew all this stuff, and yet he avoided training, it was probably a case of him just being shy again, he didn’t look like he was up for a assault course at the best of times.
“I should too actually” He laughed, really, he wouldn’t know any of this if Dominique didn’t force him to study with him. He supposed it had been worth it, even if he had only absorbed a little of it in the end. “Doms the brains of our outfit I guess” He noted to himself to not as complain as much next time Dom dragged him to the library.
“Heh I guess so...” as he stood up his stretched his arms and legs, at least it made him look like he knew what he was doing. “Erm...where do we start?”

Heidi pointed her long finger at the set of what appeared to be tires, set in doubles that went for several yards.
"I guess right there?"
She sighed a little. Her perfectly manicured nails were about to become not so perfect, weren't they? That was great. The blond WEAPON walked briskly over to the tires, then pulled her cell phone out of her pocket. Hitting a button on it, to start a timer, she put one foot into the first tire, then picked her next one up quickly.
Not fully pulling it out, she went down, falling face first onto the rest of the tires.
"WAGH!"
This was not going to be a good day...

“Err...yeah” It was a stupid question anyway. “It’d be silly the other way round”
It made sense, Isztivan didn’t want to start off on the ropes that hung above the mud pits at any rate, if he fell he didn’t fancy doing the whole course caked in mud. Though somehow that seemed inevitable.
He followed Heidi, taking position on the other set of tires, doing more stretches than was probably necessary. All right there were some nerves involved, he didn’t exactly want to look stupid did he? He could always say he was already beat from exercising before.Though Heidi had that covered. Hearing her cry Isztivan tripped up a bit himself, the sneakers he was wearing weren’t exactly the best footwear for an obstacle course.
He managed to stay on his feet, though messing up the rhythm you’re supposed to maintain on the tires.
“You okay Heidi?” He said with a sort of nervous laugh, not really sure if he should be laughing at all.
