Picked this up a couple days after the release day, which happened to also be my birthday. Good times.
My only complaint is the lack of special features. The Complete Platinum DVD set of the series had loads of bonus content, but Rebuild 1.11 lacks even a basic commentary. It would have been nice to hear from some members of the new English voice cast, as well as the two returning NGE veterans.
Apart from the lack of features, the movie was beautiful on Blu-Ray. This was also my first experience with the dub of the movie, and I was pleased to see that it's an improvement from the work on the original series. Even Spencer and Keith-Shipp seem to have stepped up their game for this one.
So, who else got their hands on this?

I got this in January with my Christmas money. I must say that the dub was a lot better than I expected and tops the original series dub in almost every way. My only few complaints were how damn similar Gendo and Fuyutsuki's voices were (because it made it nearly impossible to tell who was talking at times), and Ritsuko; I'm sure there's nothing wrong with Ritsuko's VA, but it's just came as a bit of a shock at first, and will probably take a lot more time getting used to.
The lack of special features didn't bug me much since I think they were really just rushing to get it released so they could have something to show the American venue. Although, I heard the Japanese release of 1.11 in March, 2007, was epic in the special features it had. In a few years or so, maybe after all four movies have been released in America, we'll get box sets with loads of special features like with the Platinum set.
And boy, if you thought 1.11 was beautiful, you HAVE to see 2.22.
