Literate Roleplay. 3-4+ moderately sized paragraphs (multiple sentences). You must be 15 years of age or older to play. I'm sorry. Now that I'm 18 I just established that rule.

You never looked him in the eye when you saw him. THAT was one thing everyone in school knew about Austin Dawson. He was big, he was tough, and he was mean to the bone. He was the stereotypical school bad-boy, complete with his own large, lumbering lackeys, a motorcycle he had inherited from his dead-beat dad, and a scowl permanently plastered on his face. He beat up the nerds, frightened the preps, and ruled the school through fear.

Then, he got bored.

He wanted a b***h and he wanted the best. So, he decided, why not give himself the treat of having a pretty little pet-- a sweet virgin. He wanted to corrupt the boy. He wanted to force him into submission and turn him into a needy puppy, pleading for his attention. Most of all, he wanted someone he could show off with pride.

The other thing everyone knew about Austin: he always gets what he wants.

Austin had always liked to think of himself as the top dog of the school. He was a king and Carlton High School was his castle. All around, people scurried to do his bidding. Everyone played a part in this stereotypical high school setting. He had five nerds assigned to do his homework, a group of muscle-headed lackeys that followed his ever command, and a hot blond girlfriend named Stacy… who just happened to be getting on his nerves at the moment.

“You CHEATED on me. I have every right to be angry!” her shrill, high-pitched voice whined. “I’m the Co-Captain of the cheer squad! How could you?” Voting for the new captain for this school year had yet to take place. However, Austin never hesitated to think his girlfriend WOULDN’T be chosen for the spot. He was the toughest, most dangerous guy in school and she was his b***h, the hottest girl in school. It was bound to happen.

The only problem was they couldn’t stand each other.

Austin snarled, grinding his teeth as his eyes flashed in a dangerous rage. How dare this b***h raise her voice to him! Did she realize he could RUIN her entire social standing if he wanted to? “Well, I wouldn’t have had to go after other p*ssy if you put out more,” he spat back, tone harsh and thick with anger. He was sure his face was turning a bit red.

It was a well known fact that Austin had an almost unquenchable sex drive to match his mean, domineering attitude. The fact that he had only dated this girl only because she was the most visually-acceptable thing hadn’t helped matters. Stacy was hot, sure, but she was missing something. It seemed everyone he fooled around with was an empty bore.

“That’s it!” Stacy cried, taking a step back to avoid his rage.

“We’re over.” he finished for her, before she could get the words out. Oh, the rumors he would spread… but not before he pummeled some nerd into the ground to quell his anger. By the end of the day, the gossip had spread throughout the school. He leaned against the bleachers and watched some of the cheerleaders working out on their mats in the gym, choosing his new b***h. Everyone knew what he and his two tag-a-longs were doing and the girls had started chatting up rather excitedly about it.

“What about that one,” The lackey next to him, Rick, announced, pointing to a pretty redhead. Rick was dressed in a black jacket and had a scar running down his cheek from a fight he had gotten into.

“No.” Austin snapped curtly.

“The blond with the--”

“No. I want something different.” The male hissed, storming out of the gym with irritated eyes. He was sick of cheerleaders-- sick of females in general. Truthfully, he wanted something new. Something he hadn’t tasted before. Maybe he’d corner one of those nerds and see if he could make them scream. Steps quick, he rounded a corner. Austin had no idea what was in store for him.

Alex kept his cold mask up, softening it only a little as he talked to the lady behind the desk in the main office. He was getting his schedule. He was the new kid...again. His family was constantly moving and he was used to not staying in one place for more than a year or two at most.

"Hello, what do you need?" the women asked smiling at the boy in front of her. She was a little plump and looked to be in her late thirties. Brown hair and brown eyes and a kind voice. The same as everywhere else.

"I'm Alex Squire. I'm the new transfer student. I came to pick up my schedule," he said pleasantly. The words were so familiar to him they were dull to say. He had said the same basic thing at his old school. The lady smiled and found his schedule. She handed it to him and he thanked her. He took it and left the office.

He had been told to just get his schedule today and then explore the campus and learn his way around. He would start classes tomorrow. He wandered around the school finding all of his classes easily. Bored and not wanting to go home yet (his parents were still at work) he randomly walked down the halls.

The students that were in the halls looked at him. News of him would spread fast. He kept his cold mask up as usual. He wouldn't drop it until he got home.

He walked toward the gym. As he turned the corner he stopped dead and backed up a step to avoid crashing into the boy who had just turned the corner at the same time he did. He glanced at the guy, not really caring that he had almost walked into him. He didn't say a word as he walked past him his face set in a blank almost bored look.

It took Austin a few seconds to fully comprehend what he had just seen. When the picture processed in his mind he froze and turned to look at the boy’s retreating back, eyes widening slightly and then narrowing. WHO was THAT? He certainly hadn’t seen a pretty face like that around here before. Wordlessly, he grabbed the boy’s wrist and spun him around, meeting those large eyes with his own intense, piercing ones.

“Who--” he started to say, voice deep and husky. However, a shouted in the distance caught his attention, followed by an angry howl. Someone was fighting and one of the participants sounded like his lackey. This early in the morning? Well, that just wouldn’t do. No doubt they would get expelled if a teacher saw. He didn’t need that happening with the year just beginning. Turning on his heel he ran off to put an end to the stupid quarrel. When he came upon the scene he was disappointed to find two of his men rolling around beating each other into the ground with their fists.

Growling low in his throat, he grabbed him buy the scruff of their shirts and yanked them apart. “What,” he spat, scowling. “Is all THIS about.”

“W-we were arguing about… who gets Lana now that yer done with her, boss,” one of the muscle-headed idiots mumbled, eyes wide with fear. The other remained silent, smarter than the first.

Austin rolled his eyes. “Fight after school. You’re clogging the halls and the last thing I need people seeing are my men freighting amongst themselves,” he growled, setting them each down and leaving for class as the bell chimed. First period-- Creative Writing. He instantly hated his schedule for this year. Without a word, he slipped into the classroom and took a seat near the back.

Alex continued to walk to the gym until the boy he had just passed grabbed his wrist and spun him around to face him. His cold, bored looking eyes met the intense, piercing ones of the other. "Let go," he said flatly. His voice was emotionless, but held some annoyance in it. He really didn't appreciate being touched with out his permission.

He waited for the lug to ask who he was, but he never finished it. The sounds of a fight interrupted him. As the guy left Alex followed silently. He was a little curious. What he saw though killed his curiosity and he became bored again. It was just some lugs fighting over a girl. He sighed and turned away after the guy he had nearly walked into broke the fight up.

He saw the guy go into the Creative Writing class for first period. Well he had met one of his classmates. Perfect an idiot bad-boy. He walked away as the class began. As he walked he decided to find the library. The only place idiots and bad-boys avoided like the plague itself. He'd spend the rest of the school day there. He hoped this school had a good fiction section.

Austin didn’t see the boy again until lunch, when he slipped into the library for some peace and quiet. He was very discreet about where he was going, making sure nobody saw him enter the large room. As he slipped inside, a small boy behind the counter flashed him a bright smile. “You worry too much. Stop looking so paranoid. If someone sees you come in you can just tell them I was giving you the English homework.”

The boy was blond with bright, blue eyes. He was one of the few nerds Austin couldn’t force himself to torment, if only because they had grown up together, going to the same elementary school onward. “You sure there’s no one in here?” he hissed, their voices loud enough for Alex to hear.

The boy, whose name was Cailean, rolled his eyes. “Nobody important. Go on and pick a book It’s not right that you feel more comfortable smuggling alcohol and drugs into a party than you do checking out a book from the library. There’s nothing wrong with being LITERATE.”

“Appearances, Cailean. You know that.” Austin shrugged and slipped down the aisles, looking through the shelves for a book. He eventually grabbed Angels and Demons before moving to the back to sit down on by the desks and read. Cailean would signal him if someone who mattered entered. He was taken aback when he caught sight of the pretty boy from that morning, and froze in his tracks, for once at a loss for words. He decided silence was the best option and moved past the new kid to sit on one of the old leather couches and read silently. After all, who did the boy have to tell?
PostPosted: Wed Mar 17, 2010 7:22 pm

Alex was pleased with the school's library. It had an exellent and broad range of books and the fiction section was probably the broadest. He ran is fingers lightly over the books, his only friends. He saw some familiar titles and smiled. In here amongst the shelves of books his mask slipped a bit and showed his true personality. He stopped and grabbed the book Monster Blood Tattoo. He put it in the crook of his arm and continued walking. Brisingar, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Black Dragon Codex, InkHeart, InkSpell, and a couple of books from the Cirque Du Freak series soon followed. He grabbed a dictionary too in case he didn't understand a word and needed to look it up.

With this large stack of books in his arms he turned to the leather couches in the room. He didn't notice the guy from this morning until he saw him sitting there and reading. His mask soon was back on his face. He was surprised to see the guy in here at all, let alone reading. He almost dropped his books in surprise. He managed to hang on to them though and looked away from him, indifferent once again. He walked over to the couch across from him and sat on it. He put the books down quietly so he wouldn't disturb the guy. He sat the dictionary next to him on the couch and bent down over his pile of books. He chose one from the pile and sat up again. He got comfortable and began to read the book. The book he had chosen was Monster Blood Tattoo. Obviously he was well read and loved to read.

A small smirk flashed over Austin’s handsome expression when he saw the boy unload his huge stack of books on the couch. It was almost endearing, though he would never admit it out loud. The boy obvious loved to read. He let himself relax as the kid sat down across from him, enjoying the first silence he had been blessed with all day. “You’re new here?” he asked smoothly several moments later, arching an eyebrow up at the boy.

He was genuinely curious. He was sure he would have know if someone so cute was roaming his halls. “Austin--” However, before he could get an answer, Cailean popped his head from around the book shelves, blue eyes bright with curiosity upon seeing Alex. “Oh, hello. Sorry to interrupt. Austin, you have fifteen minutes before the bell and then gym class. I thought I would remind you now because I’m leaving early today.”

“Thank you, Cail. Tell Armin he better have my Calc homework done while your passing through guidance.” Austin ordered boredly, eyes apathetic.

The blonde shook his head, looking disappointed in the other. “If you only applied yourself, Austin--” he sighed and moved to leave. “Fine. I’ll do it. You two can go back to… conversing. Fifteen minutes.”

He slipped out.

It was a struggle for Alex to keep his mask on in front of the guy while he was reading. He was deeply immersed in the book and only barely heard the guy when he asked if he was new to the school. Reluctantly he surfaced from the book, he was already half way through it. He raised his cold, bored eyes to look at the boy across from him. He had been about to answer when a boy interrupted them. He seemed to know the guy across from him well. He looked at the boy.

"Hello," he said in a flat voice. It wasn't unfriendly though.

He watched as the boy left. Once he was gone he turned his attention back to the bully in front of him. He put the book down beside him. His face was blank and his eyes were cold and bored. The mask that had gotten him through each school he attended firmly in place.

"Yes. I am new here," he said flatly in a emotionless voice. He waited for a response from the bully.

“I thought as much. I haven’t seen anyone around here that looks like YOU before.” he said simply, leaning back against the couch cushion. “Do you always put so much effort in making such a bland expression. I don’t see much point in it. Though I suppose it’s good for someone whose trying to keep people away,” he purred smoothly, eyes dark and dangerous as he stood to get everything ready to leave.

“Since you’re new, you don’t know the way this school works. I’ll explain it once and only once, though I don’t see a problem with someone so apathetic. Cross me and I can quite easily ruin your life. I have people that can drop your GPA, I know teachers that will fail you with my command, and I know quite a few guys that wouldn’t mind having a go at you if you REALLY piss me off. Listen to me, and you’ll survive this year just fine. Don’t and I’ll make this place a hell-hole for you.” he hissed smoothly, used to this speech. He had given it to quite a few new people, though mostly he had his lackeys deliver such messages for him.

“Also, if you ever even try to mention that I came in here not only will no one believe you, but I’ll have you pulled outside by a few of my guys and we’ll beat the s**t out of you until your skin is simply a giant black and blue bruise.” the threat was a simple one. He truly didn’t see the boy caring enough to be defiant. Though something about that face caught his eye. Something about the boy made him want… to get a bit closer-- to dominate him.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 17, 2010 9:13 pm

Alex listened quietly and yawned a bit. Once he was done he did something he never thought he'd do to a bully. He smiled. He started to snicker and then that turned into a full out laugh. He clutched his sides he was laughing so hard. After doing that for about two minutes straight he managed to control himself again and wiped tears from his eyes. This guy had just made this school very different from the rest. He looked back up at the guy grinning a little.

"Nice welcome. You just made my day with that speech," he said. He picked up his books. "Every school I've been to is a hell- hole with or without a bully threatening me. Bye Austin," he said. He grinned one last time before his mask slid smoothly back into place. He walked past the guy with his armload of books not giving him a second glance. On the inside he was excited. This school year MIGHT just be interesting and different from others.

Austin was appalled. The NERVE of that nerd! No one had ever dared to laugh in his face like that. He wasn't used to such disrespect. However, as the rage began to build, it was the way that face little up that seemed to calm him down. He grabbed Alex by the arm and slammed him back against the shelves, glaring down at him. "I don't really see anything funny about it. Would you mind explaining," he hissed smoothly, tilting the other's chin up with two fingers.

The books were scattered on the ground and his huge hand held Alex's shoulder firmly in place. Austin was quite used to people being intimidated by him. He was, after all, broad shouldered, tall, and muscular. It was only natural that some people would find him a tad... frightening. He didn't understand why this boy wasn't even flinching.

"I think you'll come to learn that I don't make idle threats, brat. I'd hate to bruise you all up but laughing at me will only get you pummeled into the ground, no matter how pretty that face of yours is." He certainly hadn't expected those words to leave his own mouth.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 18, 2010 2:42 pm

As Alex walked away Austin grabbed his arm and slammed him into the shelves. He met the guy's eyes as his face was tilted up. He didn't even flinch and he didn't find Austin's glare and size the least bit intimidating. This was what happened at every school. The bullies all did and said more or less the same thing.

"No, I'm not explaining," he said simply. He looked down at his books on the ground and at the hand on his shoulder pinning him. He really didn't appreciate the books being abused in such a way. Neither did he like being touched with out his permission. Looking back up at Austin's face he scowled. "Let. Go. Of. Me," he said sternly and feeling very annoyed now.

The comment about his face being pretty made him mad. He glared at the bully. "What did you just call my face?" he asked feeling angry and annoyed. His eyebrow twitched. He hated it when people commented on his face. Some even had the nerve to say he looked like a girl. He grabbed Austin's wrist and yanked his hand off of his shoulder.

"You don't frighten me and you're annoying me. You're also boring me to tears. You read can't you make your threats a little more creative? You're just like the rest, no creativity. Leave me alone," he said. He pushed the other boy away from him and picked up his books. His hope that this school might be different from the rest was crushed. Standing with his books in his arms he turned away from the bully and stalked off towards the check out counter.

Truthfully he was disappointed. He was hoping that since the guy read a lot he would be a bit more creative in his threats. He sighed. Obviously he had been wrong. Bullies every where said the same things, had the same rules, and did the same things. It was incredibly dull after going to at least a 100 different schools. Boring too.

Austin was beyond enraged at this point. Where did the boy come off talking to him like that. However, he wasn't surprised the brat had called him on his uncreative remarks. He simply knew what to say to scare people. The stereotypical bully routine usually worked. In the end, he saw no point in killing the kid. he'd get back at him later.

Glancing at the ground, he noticed the boy had forgotten a book. Without a word, he picked it up and dropped it on the register for Alex. "Well," he said smoothly. "I'll just have to show you how creative I can be." The words were smooth-- nonthreatening. He decided to have a little fun teasing the brat, seeing if he could get a reaction.

By the next day when Alex opened his locker, everything was encased in a separate glob of jello. There were no holes or rips. Each flavor of the bouncy substance was whole and professionally spaced on individual plates. In the locker was a simple note taped to the locker door. It read: "I thought of doing the whole 'dead rat in a shoe box' thing, but decided that was no fun. It's much more interesting to let you deal with this little mess. PS: Yes, the jello is edible."

(If you've seen the Office, that's where I got this idea from. It may not seem like much, but it would be a huge mess to clean up and quite funny in my opinion.)
