What do you think about the illegal aliens entering our borders? Personally, I would think we should allow only a select few to become American citizens. We don't want to stop them all together, but more like just control the flow down to a trickle. I think we should allow them to stay only a few years, make a living, and then go back to their own countries

Have to say, that's a big problem in Britain, the immigrants... I heard in the news the other day that some workers in England were refused a job in an English factory because they had to speak Polish, because most of the workers were Polish...

That's the same way here in California. Unless you know at least tiny bit Spanish, you wont get hired b/c you gotta deal with a TON of Mexicans (no offense to those who are) and it's kindof a major pain (once again, no offense) I really would like to get a job somewhere where it isnt required to know more than your native tongue and not have to talk to someone in another language just to get my point across

Oh man that is a hot-button issue for me. (prepare for a rant)
I can't stand the fact that people who aren't even supposed to be here are effecting MY life so negatively. Would an escaped convict be provided with food, shelter, and medical care while he was on the run? HELL no! He isn't supposed to be out of jail. We would demand that he be found and put back in jail until he can leave in a manner that is legal.
I live in California. That means that I can't get a job because I don't speak Spanish! I am SICK of it. I don't think that people living here illegally and refusing to learn our language should be my problem. If they want to come and not learn English, it should be their problem for being lazy. I have actually been yelled at for telling someone that I don't speak Spanish. They tried to correct me by telling me how to say "I don't speak Spanish" in SPANISH. I think that would defeat the purpose. I wouldn't move to another country without learning their language and then expect their government to cater to my needs.
Also, children who are born here are automatically citizens. (Sounds good on paper, doesn't it?) That means that someone can come over here illegally, have a kid, and then collect welfare and a whole bunch of other government handouts. (All the while they are sitting pretty because the government isn't going to deport the mother leaving the child without care.) And who gets to pay for all of this? People who are here legally, out of the taxes that are taken out of their paychecks.
By the way, I love Obama for not including people who are here illegally in his new heath care plan. I would hug him if I could. I completely agree with him.
I'm not saying that they shouldn't be allowed to live here; I'm saying that they should have to do so legally. How can we trust them to follow our legal system if they aren't even willing to live here legally?

English is a world language - it's how we are able to converse internationally, so why can't these guys understand that?undefined

well this country was founded on immigration and i do believe people should enter here legally. i live in indiana we really don't have a lot of illegal immigrants so i really haven't had to struggle with illegals for a job, but my husband is from Texas and it's a big problem there. i do have a problem with them coming here and expecting everyone to speak spanish if you're going to move to a different country learn the native speech first. i mean my friend is a 3rd gen mexican and her great grandmother learned some english before coming here and making thi country her home
bu then look at it from the mexican standards i mean their country i shitty and you cant even drink the water there. maybe if they actually cleaned up their country they'd stop coming here. i mean you dont see illegal canadian immigrants
