I was reading some info on federal bills for the United States. America is ranked 26 for Internet speed, and somehow pisses off the government and thinks they should be a leading power in digital media and such... Kinda makes me laugh. Anyways... In a nutshell:
-100 million homes should have access to downlaod speeds of 100 mps and upload speeds of 50 mps.
- the US should lead the world in mobile innovation. (lol)
- All Americans should have access to robust broadband services.
- Every Amerian community should have access to speeds of at least 1Gbps broadband services to anchor schools, hospitals, etc.
- First responders should have access to nationwide wireless networks.

With the 2,000 page plus health bill in congress...just for healthcare...I shiver to think what other changes they will make to our Internet use IF they decide to make laws to "upgrade" us in a way.

I'm still cautious about the conversations that still come up every year about taxing our e-mails and stuff like that.
