The Elementals

The world was born of violence, and lived in violence. Meteors pelted its still boiling surface. Through gravity, and the cold vastness of space. This violence led to a spiritual energy, which led to the elemental.

Origins of Sentient Non-elemental life.

First, after a long string of beasts, the sentient came to be, they were hulking creatures, and would be dumb by todays standards. A few of these found their way up north, where the winds hit and warp the ground. They were changed, and when they came back they were slender, strong in magick. They had the wings of butterflies and had a wonderful, terrible beauty, these were the fey, faeries. They exterminated the originals, and took the lands abandoned, although these creatures preferred their own enchanted forests. After a while 2 distinct sects came to be, the disciplined Avele, and the hedonistic Slanae, for a time the cooperated well, but differences were too strong. The Avele controlled the vast majority of political chairs, and were composed of the majority of the population. After many years they felt that they needed gardeners, and so the race of elves were born. They elves shared some of the magical powers of their parents but alas not enough for their liking, and they were short lived, perhaps living 3 thousand years, as opposed to the immortality of the fey. The elves rebelled, and were crushed by the vast magical powers of the parents, the elves fled, and found their own forests. The fey thought that they could make better servants, with no natural affinity for magick, for even though they won, they lost about 435 people, a massive amount to a people who numbered in the thousands. They created humans, and these creatures had short lives, they needed constant change. The Slanae, seeing this, were pleased; this is how life is meant to be, many of the fey converted there. The Avele, however would see the humans exterminated, due to the taint of their weak minds. Civil war broke out, dragons were created in the clash, they turned and destroyed still more fey, at last they created the equal in magick. Many of them died, humans survived, and the fey were split forevermore. The Slanae turned to dark magick, creating a realm perverted by darkness, blood, sacrifice, orgies of wonderful PAIN! They created many creatures to guard themselves. The humans fled and thrived, they learned from dwarves, (Who developed separately, from a powerful deity). The elves went to war with the humans, and the Slanea, in one final act of thanks, turned those who killed the humans into drow, elves without skills in nature, but with powers in the shade, forcing them to flee from other elves. The elves and drow feud to this day.

On the Origin of Gods elevated by worship. Clerics and dwarves.

Long before elves were created, the fey discovered smithing, a few dedicated smiths made beautiful weapons, jewelry, which could then be enchanted. Through the lust for finely crafted pieces, a god was born, a god that hated the fey. He was hardworking, with a long memory, and was never willing to let a grudge go. He needed a people suited to his needs, to worship him and make him to become stronger. After 3 years of thinking he created 100 dwarves, they were hard-working as he, they never forgot, as he, they were short, strong for the stature and had a taste for alcohol. They were also the first race to have clerics, people who could tap into a gods power, due to the ordered nature of the gods, destruction with clerical energies is somewhat rare, mostly focused on healing and helping. When the elves fled from the fey, they took to clerical powers, of their own gods. Many other gods repeated this process, with goblins, ogres, minotaurs, sirens, and arowa being created in quick succession.
