So here's an idea for a storyline arc:
We have more than 6 Death Notes, which is the maximum. The surplus don't work, as stated in the How to Use It section of the Death Note. Because of this, there are Death Notes which don't work.
A shinigami may drop another Death Note, which is found by someone who is all too eager to use it. However, it does not work. Reading through the Rules, the person would be quick to discover the reason for it not working. They would join the police in order to find other Kiras, working with the government and police, with the goal of destroying or obtaining other Death Notes so that they have one that works. This is a wannabe Kira who is working against Kiras with the police in order to become a Kira.

Whoa, I kind of get that idea. Sounds good to me!~
I think it's a very nice idea, and would be perfect. Like, this guy/girl that seems all trustworthy and works with the police, but secretly has a Death Note but it doesn't work thanks to all of the other active Death Notes. So, he gets rid of a couple Death Note owners, and then his Death Note works and now he can kill! I get it!

Obviously, other Death Note owners may not want to be killed -coughcough- But it's just like having another side. Cause I mean, the detectives want to catch the Kiras, who may not want to be caught, and the Kiras want to kill the detectives, who may not want to be killed...So it's just kind of a loop which depends on the players. Like all the rest of it x3
Whoever said Nay, please post why? I'm not looking for an argument, honey, I'm interested in any arguments so no one goes unheard and this is not put up if it is not welcome.

I agree, with the idea. I think it's cool. Just for a psychological link, Ted Bundy, a serial killer and intelligent law student (Kind of like light in a way) helped the police stop rape cases and even helped in cases against himself. nobody saw it coming but he was a good base for smooth killers.

I pondered it a bit and I think I know what he's saying. Perhaps, he's saying that there should be someone who doesn't have a death note. Or perhaps their deathnote is a dud. They feel angry so they go after a real one.

Hmm. Shinigami are mischievious...
A prank on the human world? Designed to create even more mischief? So the owner of the dud is the one who works with the police to destroy other Death Notes...Hmm. I like it. Also helps to clarify because we're already over the limit >.< So just a dud would be tres magnifique.

In world war one, most countries in the world had alliences under the table with others. When 1 person was shot, the alliences kicked in and escelated violence. 1 person dead killed thousands of others. When Evan is killed and LDK tries to kill BB, should sides be taken? Should a killing start alliences? How about, starting alliences as LDK. Perhaps this would be a catalyst that starts the reaction. BB has my face and name. He's pissed at me. I'm angry at him but can't one up him. He could try to collaborate with the FBI as well as LDK. Meanwhile someone can threaten Sane, C could go crazy because of his shinigami, There are so many options for this story.

Ah, I see now xD Sorry Ev. I am sick as a dog and my brain works about as fast right now.
I really like that idea. We'd need someone to make a chart probably to keep track of everything xD Very lifelike in that respect. Warfare is endlessly complex, especially when there are infinite players involved. The domino effect becomes incredible ne?
So you and BB are basically in a tete-a-tete, can't one-up each other...C is being tormented by his shinigami (-snicker-Ebil shinigami )...and Sane threatened? Hmm. That last would provide some comic relief. xD I really like those ideas. Goes deeper into the story, not quite so superficial anymore.
