The Ouja board is not something to be messed with. It can open a portal to things you would rather not have enter your life. The Tarot cards do work but there are a few things to keep in mind when you use them. You have to keep your mind clear, you can't have an opinion about the question you are asking them. Also, the cards will not come out and give you a straight answer. The answers will be cryptic but if you understand what the cards are telling you and you can interpret their meaning then you will have no problem with them. Personally I use Oracle cards because their answers aren't as cryptic. NO ATTACHING SIGNATURES!

What it is: Ouija Board, sometimes called a Spirit Board or a Talking Board. It's a board with an alphabet printed on it to allow whatever spirits believed to communicate with it to dictate their messages. It uses a small instrument called a Planchette that the human participants use to channel the spirit's words onto the board.
Why it's bullshit: The board functions on a mental process called an Ideomotor Effect which refers to the influence of suggestion or expectation on involuntary and unconscious motor behavior. The movement of pointers on Ouija boards, of a facilitator's hands in facilitated communication, of hands and arms in applied Kinesiology, and of some behaviors attributed to hypnotic suggestion, are due to ideomotor action. When several participants are pushing on the planchette at once, the force applied to it is jumbled, and since they are not instructed to observe or control the delicate output of their force on the planchette, it can be subject to sudden and somewhat odd movements, which to a kid playing the game, are percieved to be spooky spirits trying to say hello by pointing to the letters. In reality, the choices of the letters are somewhat random, and another mental process called pareidolia comes into play, making the players think the random letter suggestions actually mean something mystical and meaningful.
Example: In 2000, a blind study of 10 random calls using a Ouija board were recorded with a small pivot over the planchette, allowing the users to visually observe which direction the applied force was coming from. The planchette was moved by the force of the players pushing upon it, as the pivot moved according to the almost random nudges several players were pushing upon it.
Conclusion: The board, letters, planchette, and method of using it are all components of a clever, entertaining, but entirely explainable parlor game played for centuries and sold to children ages 6 and up by Milton Bradley.
More information.
Tl;dr: Ouija boards are crap. The fact that you bought one from a store is practically proof.

XxXTemporary_IllusionXxX Then can you explain why my friend recorded a voice that didnt sound like anyone ive ever met right after we used one? (and yes I know it was not a prank becuase I watched her start the recording and made sure she pulled up the correct one) Probably was the TV or the radio or even from outside, Ouija boards don't work, because of what I posted.

I keep forgetting to turn my signature off emo
Anyway: Go ahead and use a Ouija board, they're toys sold by Parker Brothers and little more than cardboard and plastic. They don't do anything aside from move how you tell them to move. Seriously. It's called Ideomotor Effect - where muscle movement happens independent of conscious wishes.
My favorite proof I've seen for this is a Penn and Teller experiment where they moved the board without the blindfolded people conducting the seance knowing. The people involved in the 'seance' inevitably drove the pointer to where they thought 'yes' and 'no' were in response to questions, but there was nothing in those areas of the board anymore. If a spirit were really driving, wouldn't they still be able to go to proper yes and no locations?

{Penn and Teller Bullshit: Ouija Board Part 2}
{Penn and Teller Bullshit: Ouija Board Part 3}
Edit: Also, don't forget the fact that that the Ouija board is copyrighted by Milton Bradley. Shouldn't that tell you something? If it truly worked, why would it require people to put their hands on it at all?
Sigh... and we wonder why science doesn't take this field seriously?
Double Edit: Forgot part three sweatdrop

Well I apologize for that misunderstanding because I so clearly did not say anything about it not being store bought in my earlier post.
But just to clarify things id like to let you all know that my friend made the thing on her own without the help of any Milton Bradley game set.
However id also just like to point out that I’m not saying I believe in those stupid things, contrary to what it may sound like. I’m just pointing out that your explanation doesn’t dismiss what we heard on that recording (Id post what was on the recording if i was even in contact with her still and if I didn’t have such bad memory).

contacts, can be fake and contacts can be real...a room that is silent still has a sound to it strangely...there is never an actual silence anywhere.
